This is stupid but there's a lot of tough guys in this thread who clearly have never been to college before... just ask him what religion he is and why it's not okay to have a tv in the room becuase you were actually planning on bringing one.

if he is srs about this I wouldn't bring one... if you aren't going to a trash college then surely there will be flat screen tvs in the dorm lounge rooms and I'm assuming you'll make friends as well..
