Blowing money to me is wasting it.

I don't consider paying for a roof over my head a waste of money at all.

I have my own one bedroom, I am 30, a working professional, I have a 401k, a separate portfolio from that, I go to the gym 6 days a week, and I am single.

I also don't have a family to take me in if I wanted to, my parents are in South America. But even if they were stateside, I wouldn't willingly move in with them.

How exactly am I blowing money?

What that guy said is factual, being independent doesn't have to be strictly about sloots, but it does make you more appealing as a man, never met anyone who disagreed with that before on a serious level.

I moved out at 22 because i couldn't stand being a grown ass man and still having my parents tell me what to do like a cuck.

Best thing i've ever done for independence, confidence, and freedom. My relationship with my parents is much better as well

I can see why some would do it but I would feel like less of a man especially the way my parents treat me and the fact my dad is home all the time since he's retired. Hell, I could even live at home this summer but I didn't. It blows my mind that even college students want to go home for the summer. I love my independence and being able to do what I want when I want without my parents asking questions or getting involved with my life.

By age 30 it would truly be pathetic to be living at home. I lived at home the past two years and saved a lot of money doing it. It's a personal choice-some people have student loans they can pay off faster or save up for a new home. If you're doing it for the right reasons and not just to avoid responsibility of paying your own bills then it shouldn't be looked down upon in your early-mid 20s

But getting a quality girlfriend while living at home should be the last thing on your mind because it ain't happening boyo

I moved out at 22. A lot of people i know still live with their parents at 24. Not a big deal, imo. And if youve ever traveled outside of NA, youd realize how its only here that people get hung up on living at home past 20.

Unless you have a stable career or job that pays really good, then I don't see the problem with living at home with your parent/s.


Sure, ideally you want to live on your own but if you don't have the means to, then I don't see how having a poverty salary while living independently would be a good idea.

Living to pay rent is no way to live boyo.

ive been living on my own for quite some time.
Don't get me wrong,it is fun and I do enjoy it but...

If you have a loving family, and they don't charge you much on rent (or even charge you at all), you'd have to be kidding not to take it.

most college kids get their rent/housing paid for by their parents, that's why they go home in the summer.

Have no debt plus 40k saved up so far at age 22. Investing in index funds and plan to buy real estate in a few years. Could give a fck about society as I see my friends worried they will never be able to afford a house outside of the ghetto.

This is actually quite common to save money to buy a condo/house. Sure, it is hard to find a date when you are like 28+ and still living with your parents, but the end result will be worth it.

It's worth noting that it's not uncommon for kids in Asian countries to still be living at home into their 30s and have the wife move in with them if he gets married so she can help with cooking and cleaning

Western civilization just thinks you should be making it by the time you're out of college, which was true 50 years ago when jobs weren't outsourced and actually paid well entry level.
