Im trying out the paula's choice aha/bha chit after a miscer made a thread about it and some sloot came in and agreed. You may want to take a look into those types of products.

Make sure you apply a facial sunscreen daily, if you leave the house. Avoiding sun damage is vital.

1) A Gentle Facial Cleanser with NO "scrub beads" or any chit like that; Cetaphil or CeraVe Facial Cleanser (My personal favorite)

2) A good moisturizer with Niacinamide; I use CeraVe Facial Lotion PM (Morning and Night). It's inexpensive and a great product. If you have oily/acne prone skin, look for a moisturizing gel. I have Philosophy's "Take A Deep Breath", which is awesome. Don't Spend $50+ on a moisturizer.

3) An AHA or BHA Exfoliant (Depending on your skin type). It doesn't have to be anything fancy. I use 3% Salicylic Acid in Stridex Maximum Strength Pads. 3% is the optimal percentage for Chemical Exfoliation, though.

3a) Toner. Some use it, I really don't give a chit about it. Saves me a step.

4) A Vitamin C Serum. Look for something with 10-20% LAA as well as Ferulic Acid. Once again, you don't need to spend $100 on overpriced chit. Look at NuFountain C20+Ferulic or OST C20/C21.5

5) If you can get it, Tretinoin/Retin-A. Its Rx Only in the US.

6)MOST IMPORTANT:A GOOD Sunscreen with an SPF of ~50 that blocks BOTH UVA/UVB Rays. UVB Rays cause Hyperpigmentation (Aging), UVA Rays cause Sunburn. Most USA sunscreens have complete chit UVB blocking abilities, so you'll need to buy something from Europe/Japan/Korea for optimal protection. Look for something with a PPD rating over 20 (Classified as PA++++ in Japan).

Examples: Bioderma Photoderm MAX, Biore UV Aqua Rich, La Roche Posay Anthelios 60. Anthelios can actually be found stateside, but the value sucks. It's very expensive.
