All you guys talking about people you know doing the same thing, I'm really starting to think that we're all talking about the same guy because this **** ain't normal.

I use to do the same chit. Turns out it was just a mild form of tourettes, I also had other vocal tics when I was younger. I basically just had to be consiously aware when I was doing it so i could stop doing it. Took a few months to finally stop

I feel your pain. When I lived in the dorms in college it was 3 people per dorm and the rooms were small. It pretty much sucked. One of my room mates would snort all the damn time. Probably 1-2 snorts per minute and the other room mate would blow out his nose at a slightly lesser rate. Imagine you're blowing your nose but with like 1/4 the pressure. A year of this. Drove me f*cking insane.

I have medical training, here is solution: get some warm salt water and honey, mix it together. tell your roommate to lay on the couch with their head hanging off the side. tell them to close their eyes after mixing the concoction. punch them as hard as you can in the throat. as they are struggling to get air, pour the warm salt honey water in their eyes. throw them off your balcony, and enjoy your quiet and peaceful apartment

Thank you for this. I have the EXACT SAME ISSUE with my roomate. It triggers me to no end. Every time she does it, I just squirm. Today I just jumped out of my chair and ran to my room. Good grief :/
