I have what equates to an apartment at my parents house. I traveled for a few years, living on the road. And I've had an apartment before I traveled, but it was kind of a waste of money compared to the setup I have at home.

The saddest part about this whole thread is that you guys think your parents don't mind or are chill about this. When in reality, it means your dad is a cuck and your mom is an enabler. No alpha dad lets you live at home when he could be fukin your mom whenever he wants. Parents have kids thinking they'll be out of the house in 18 years, no worries!

I regularly hear parents complain to me about their kids, probably because they can tell by my confidence that I'm on my own and have made it in life. Get a few drinks in the older ladies and they'll break down and tell you how reliant their kids are on them. They always reassure me how much they love them but how they also annoy them.

When I was at the gym in the sauna, this guy started confessing to me about how his kids still leach off him even though he finally got them to move out. This poor beta soul. He says he still pays their cellphone bills and his youngest son was 26.

Worse is my co-worker in her 40s telling me that her son has been hopping colleges and now is going to drop out without even a job. I don't ask how he's able to do it, he's obviously still living at home and she's not happy about it since I get to hear about it all the time.

I seriously wish I had the luxury of living with my parents. I moved very far away for university at 18 and never moved back in. Have been paying for myself since then. Thankfully, I'm now financially capable of living in a house that I own and somewhat luxurious possessions. But the ride has been rough and I still bust my ass working a full-time job and handling a business at the same time. I can say stress gets to me a lot. If I had the luxury of living with parents and saving invaluable money and time my life would have been much easier.

I haven't lived at home since I was 18 and went to college. If you live in an expensive city it's common for people to live at home.

Its because they are afraid of change. They rather live in their little comfort zone for the rest of their life rather than grab their balls and take some responsibility.

I've got a couple friends who still live at home, and it's pretty depressing.
It's not even just about getting chicks, though it definitely has an effect on it.
You change so much whenever you get out on your own and start taking care of your own ****.
Living at home and saving that little bit of money is not worth everything you miss out on IMO.

I lived away from home at college for 1 year. Then moved out across the country for a little over the month.

Nothing too special. And I couldn't save as much. Most kids my age that have moved out, have like 3k in savings because everything goes to bills and rent.

Just check my posts on this forum. I do nothing but try to help people. Sure I'm being an ass about it in this thread as it went on, but it's for their own good. Nothing good comes from living at home other than padding your wallet. There's more to life than money.

I'm so far ahead of my peers at my age and I attribute it to tough parenting and doing everything on my own. Life is more fulfilling when you have to work harder at it and earn every step of the way.

People will never get to realize this living at home. Making threads on the misc, "isn't there more to life. life is meaningless etc." They've never struggled a day in their life. When are you going to figure out what you're really made of when life gets tough.

Probably why marriages end so early now days too. Girls are always looking for that guy that is ready to go, everything is good on paper, but what neither partner knows is that they've been pampered their whole lives. They spend their paychecks in full and the water heater breaks and before you know it, it's the hardest thing they've had to deal with so far in life and now they have financial woes and aren't sure how they're going to get through this tough part of life. Before you know it she's looking for a guy that will be more stable than the last so they don't have to stress about money.

I've dated girls that have everything going for them. They've had everything they've wanted their entire lives and honestly it scares me. What happens if she gets ill, or if I get ill, or the kid isn't healthy. You really think people that have never faced adversity can handle any of that? Fuk no. They can barely handle and alternator going out. They'll take the easy route, get divorced and take half cuz it's the easiest route.

I get that it's not financially possible for some people and in some places, but if you're still living with your parents past 20 for any reason other than because you're unable to, you're a *******.

Also if you still live with your parents past 25 you're a ******* regardless of reason.Why waste those years at this age for a bit of money that's negligible in comparison to what you'll be making when you're older.

People have different circumstances in life. Different priorities. How does this concern you? If someone wants to live at home while saving, let them do it. If someone has to live at home becuase they can't support themselves yet, let them do it. If someone wants to move out and prioritizes 'living' independently and bringing home girls more than being financially responsible, let them do it. In graduate school so my options are either spend government money to live in a 1 bedroom closet in the city, or lessen my loans until I graduate and find a place of my own.

I'm always surprised at the amount of miscers that defend living at home so hard. The same guys that preach how "alpha" they are will try to convince you living at home is alpha. That being said, I don't see a problem with living at home if you have a strategic reason why you're doing it. Everybody I know who lives at home past college is just a lazy phuk with no ambition and knowingly mooching off their parents. I have no desire to live at home and haven't since I started uni at 18 but my parents wouldn't allow it anyways lol. im on both sides of this one. currently living at home, and its great but tbh i don't feel like a man yet. there's definitely something mental about it. i have the itch to just leave, even though technically my current living situation would be better than if i moved out.
