It's funny cause even serial murderers/rapists don't get this much heat.

I already have a feeling you'll deny this, but if this happened to a woman close to you (family or friend or significant other) you'd be singing a different tune.

They both were sloshed. She may have consented before she passed out. He should have stopped that point. You may say that he was too drunk, well people really shouldn't be consuming alcohol up to that point.

Yes, the girl made a bad decision getting that wasted, but that doesn't necessarily excuse what the guy did.

This isn't a defence for ****s sake. The law, and men, are supposed to look at everything objectively, not with emotion involved.

SJWs exercise USELESS internet activism. Instead of actually doing something, they will type up a harshly worded article about how unfair this or that is and other like minded weaklings (mentally weak and easily swayable) will act like jesus himself spoke the words

but fuk that brock turner guy. fuk that kid who very recently molested an 8 year old. Throw them in gen pop at lompac

Never said it was a legal defence you fukkin potato. The point is arguing semantics over what qualifies as legally defined sexual assault vs. rape is ridiculous when talking about how despicable the act in question is. According to the post I quoted, if it's not genital on genital it's no rape.

So if some dude shoved his dick down a woman's throat, that's not as bad as if he initiated actual intercourse? Shut the fuk up.

Listen, SWJ's turning every little thing into rape is definitely an issue and the campus rape statistics are way overblown.

However, this kid is not a good example to hold up. He was finger blasting an unconscious girl behind a dumpster and tried to run away when people found them. He also had a reputation as being a creeper around campus, to the point some of the women's swim team members brought up concerns about him prior to any of this happening.

You guys are like the BLM people who chose Michael Brown to be their patron saint. Yes, there's an issue. but that doesn't mean every single case is an example of that issue.

On another note I would be very curious to see what this families game plan is going forward.

So you have this kid who is infamous across the nation. The face of campus rape. He probably cannot work ever again so is he just going to sit at home being supported by his parents?

They are upper middle class so it's not like they have "fuk you money," where they could afford to get him out of the country on a private jet and transfer funds to an offshore account and completely change his identity and appearance.

No one will ever associate with him again. His old friends have probably completely distanced themselves. He's basically forever an outcast in society. When his parents are dead he will have no one. People actually want him dead or in prison for life.

I don't even think the guy who shot up that theatre got this kind of backlash.

But again wtf is his game plan. My game plan would be suicide or I'd try and rob a bank or something and go out in a gun fight.

Strawman argument. All I said was that he isn't a rapist by law and by definition. I never condoned what he did.

No strawman here.

Your post I quoted and your others are definitely passive-aggressively downplaying his side of things, for sure. I'm sure in your response to this post you will deny this and attempt to make me look silly for this 'assumption '.

It's not an argument. It's a tactic women and beta males use when they cannot debate properly. Trying to invoke emotion and bias is absolutely pathetic.

^^This. I've seen a lot of that behavior the last 2 days here on the misc in this thread and there was another one similar yesterday (about another kid, I forget the name). Every time someone hears that a girl/woman has been wronged in any way/shape/form, evidence be damned, the immediate response is to lynch the man in question. All manner of appeals to emotion are made, and guilty until proven innocent becomes the order of the day.

That's the problem with the mainstream media. It's completely left-wing biased, and presents stories in a way to align with feminist narratives and attempts to push false agendas. If all you do is watch the mainstream news networks, you'll always get a false/incomplete view of things.

I thought I was one of the most anti-female posters here but wow some of you are ridiculous.

He was walking her home and she was so bombed that they both collapsed behind a dumpster. They start making out and after that no one knows for sure until two people come by and see him on top of her, with her clothes down, unconscious, and the first thing this dude does is run as soon as he is seen. He obviously knows he is doing something wrong. The girl is passed out.

In all likelyhood he probably did rape her, but you cant prove it at all. He sexually assaulted someone who made a mistake and drank too much.

I understand where the grey area is here--there is obviously a blurred line when you cant tell if someone is too drunk or not, if you are engaging in sex and someone passes out, there obviously a time where you arent aware of it possibly. You are not constantly checking in to see if you still have consent.

However this case is so cut and dry. Theres two witnesses with no motivation to lie. Theres the fact the dude gets up and ran as soon as he is caught. Theres the fact that she is completely passed out.

This is the case that should ALWAYS be found guilty. I understand where the skepticism comes from regarding these issues as males, but come on bros, its completely black and white. Theres no scneario here where the guy is innocent.

Guy has the presence of mind and soberness to hear two guys yelling at him and immediately bolt for it. Girl was literally unconscious

But nah, she was probably consenting and just passed out in the middle of being passionately into it, and he didn't notice he was fingering a limp, completely non-responsive body

Lol I'm not even surprised at the responses tho

Actually nah, I still am. Even for yall, this is a new low of morality and just general patheticness

I'm not trying to evoke anything. If you don't think what the guy did was horrible, you have problems, stay bigoted.

I normally agree with what you have to say in threads, but this time I strongly disagree. Usually I am skeptical about these stories and believe people overreact, but this situation is not like those. I know all the other bullchit stories of false accusations and wave of SJW thinking can make someone jaded towards any seemingly similar case, but I believe this one to be valid.

How much have you read about this case, aside from mainstream media (written or video format) or here on the misc?

Here's what I've read about it:

-The girl went to the party fully intending to get wasted.
-A little conjecture here, but people don't go to parties with the intention of getting wasted if they aren't also looking to likely hook up (I can't prove state of mind, but it can be inferred that this is often the case)
-Her sister shows up at some point after she's had a lot to drink, but said she seemed lucid
-She and Brock hit it off and make out, & drink more
-They decide together to go somewhere more secluded/quiet
-The end up behind the dumpster where she proceeds to pass out

Now, we don't know how blitzed he was, but they were both extremely drunk. This is where I think the whole consent thing gets retarded. If 2 drunken parties (who obviously both chose to drink, and should thus both accept the consequences of their actions) engage in sexual activity with each other, then either both are incapable of consent, or both are considered consenting. In EVERY case we see like this, both parties were drunk, but somehow it's the guy who gets held accountable and the women is treated as the victim. We don't know when she passed out. The fact that he ran when confronted by 2 guys isn't necessarily proof he knew he was doing something wrong. Who knows what was going through his head; Again, he was wasted. 2 guys yell at you while you're having sex.. you're drunk as fuk.. how do you know how you'd react?

I'm not calling him a saint or something, I'm saying that they both made their choices that night, and what happened during the time spent behind the dumpster is contentious/unknown.

lol you really just attempted to make this guy look better by saying "he didn't rape her brah, only sexually assaulted her. It's different!". You're just as pathetic as all the other FA miscers wishing for the death of all women that won't **** you (i.e., every female on earth).

This argument is fuking old.

-Hurr durr, guys who don't automatically believe women when they claim to be raped must not be able to get laid & hate women

Get the fuk outta here with that bull****. It's called critical thinking you pleb.

Two main issues I have with your post.

1) you assume people who want to get wasted also want to get laid. that isn't always the case, it's a stretch to believe otherwise.

2) you said it yourself, she went unconscious, at that point things should stop.

1) I didn't assume that. Re-read my post.

2) But he's drunk, like her. Maybe he didn't notice she was no longer conscious. Maybe he's barely conscious himself. Maybe he's blackout drunk, wherein you can keep functioning but be unaware of your actions. The point is that we don't know, because only the 2 of them were there. Anything you or I posit is all conjecture.

Now, you might be tempted to say something like "Ok, he's blackout drunk, but he chose to get drunk and we hold drunk drivers liable for their behavior when they drink and drive!". Yup. But why is he held accountable, but she isn't? They both ostensibly followed the same set of steps to get behind that dumpster. Past that, we can't be sure what happened.

And on the subject of both of them being intoxicated... her level of intoxication is irrelevant, especially at the point of her passing out. No body should ever drink to the point of not being able to make rational decisions. The people around you being drunk does not excuse what you do.
