There's nothing preventing them from continuing after you've paid. If the thread is serious go to the cops. When in a blackmail situation cops will tell you they can't do anything unless the person blackmailing asks for money. A blocked number is still retrievable via warrant/carrier.

A miscer got all my information, home address, name, etc. and tried blackmailing me. I lol'd and ignored it, nothing happened beyond that thank god. Good thing I don't have a FB though.

I try not to post personal stuff on here anyone, and/or delete it soon after. Wish they'd allow you to delete posts older than 48 hours though.
