This is the best thing I have read since discovering this forum. How awkward. 20 jars of cottage cheese must have taken a decent amount of space in your cart. You couldn't give a few up to the one friend you had?

This would definitely go beyond not only stalker status ("finding" the guy on ********) but linking him to this thread where he sees another man he's actively avoiding carrying on a conversation with others on how to get him back would be a sure way to get hated and avoided for good (as well as other people being made aware )

If someone doesn't want to talk to you, the best thing to do is leave them alone, especially since you've already attempted to explain. He told you to piss off. Leave it at that and count it as a loss and learning experience.

Idk if youve never actually had friends or what but thats the way it goes with friends: you sometimes help them out and sometimes they help you out. Unlike women most guys will actually appreciate it and respect you more... I also cant believe you would do this over 2 tubs. Must be a troll

If I take your advice and leave this gentleman be, what are your tips for making new friends?

Obviously I've learned the give and take, which was happening at the start of the friendship (I bought him a Shake Shack etc), but do I continue with trying to make friends in the gym? Cold approach people in the street? Start going to coffee shops? Create a tinder with seeking friendship in bio? Or even the church?

I would just like somebody to hang out with outside of work tbh. I know I'll never be a kardashian or Paris Hilton popular, but just 1-2 pals is all I ask for

I guess misc polluted my mind in that respect. All these women can't be trusted threads I interpreted as humans.

Normally I would give him half the tubs and go back the next day. But I was going to be living quite remote for the next 3 weeks.

What is my best way to approaching making new friends having learned from this experience?
