I've been in this situation. I was frequently leaving the state for interviews. GF was acting weird/depressed after I got back one time. I check her phone after she passed out from the sexorz one night and find her monkey branching with her ex (she kissed him while I was gone for a weekend interview).

I instantly left her house and ignored her for the next day. Then I called her up, apologized for ignoring her saying I didn't feel well and I asked to make it up to her by taking her out to one of those fancy culinary chef places. After she's ready, I showed up on her door, told her that I knew she cheated on me, and calmly broke up with her.

I actually felt really good about how I handled the break-up.

We talked it out a week later (well more like she cried it out) and I gave away that I looked through her phone. This was the only mistake I made. Don't let her know that you snooped. It doesn't go over well. Take screenshots for your own evidence, but just say that you know.

Also, I doubt I'll snoop in the future. I'd rather live in ignorance. I had my suspicions for good reason, but I don't want to be that guy who's going through his gf's stuff.
