I just don't necessarily agree that getting into lifting is something that should be praised if your motivations are to act like a douche, in essence.
There's so many good and worthwhile reasons to get into lifting, I just could never imagine how all those great reasons were ignored, and the one that stuck was "I want to be like Zyzz."

I wish he was still alive so his schtick could have become tired and worn out and no one would try to emulate that level of *******ry.
I'm not salty,I just wish lifting culture would have taken a better turn over the last few years.

Bigger problem for the future of lifting is the number of bicycle riding instagramers selling caffeine pills and green tea to people who think they can get huge with 8% BF after a 12 week program and quickly get disillusioned with the whole thing and throw it in...

Although I've been into lifting for over a decade now, at a time when the internet hadn't become nearly as big of a deal as it is today (very little social media by comparison, etc), it still amazes me how so many people seem to get into it today. When I got into it, I was simply interested in the lean mass/better physique, significantly increased strength, and general health benefits that natty lifting can provide. Now people first getting into lifting are hyper focusing on the Ronnie Coleman/IFBB bicycle riding side of it way too quickly before they even know what they're doing, or assume they'll look like zyzz/instagram bicyclists with bs supps. Or they get into gear well before they even have a legitimate, practical reason to consider (ie high levels of sports, pro level lifting, etc) doing so.
The problem goes WAY beyond some idiots going over the top with zyzz stuff. It goes back to the 90's at least, when bodybuilding stopped being about attaining a genuinely attractive physique (muscle symmetry, good muscle ratios, etc), and started being about who can be the biggest mass monsters at any costs (Ronnie Coleman, Jay Culter, Phil Heath, etc). I mean, come on, looking like a ninja turtle with the shell for a gut is now the standard for top pro bodybuilding levels, in the name of doing whatever gear it takes to attain that level of sheer mass. That certainly wasn't a problem that had anything to do with zyzz.

I remember when I saw Zyzz's pics and thought "that's it mane, that's what I want to have". Met him IRL when he already left humanity and was was way too freakishly big for my tastes.
But yeah, if you have something against the guy you need to lighten up.
