I dont think he felt any of it, it was instant death.

And to be honest if I am to die in a bike accident, i want it to end right away, of course killing someone else is terrible, but if I was to go out, would rather go out like that in an explosion of minced meat then die a long painful death bleeding out with all bones broken.

Isn't it common knowledge that most accidents past 80mph are fatal even in a car?

This is what scares the FUK outta me.

They are setting up the posts with cables between them all around here, rightnext to the road on the outsides of corners.

As a biker, I don't think its the best design, as you said, if you fall off, you are literally sending your body into a 70 MPH wood chipper.

Whereas without the barrier you would just slide along and hopefully go through the grass. Maybe even the cement center dividers are a better option.

The cables are ridiculously dangerous, car or biker.

If you crash into those things at high speeds it's like going into a knife blade.

Hopefully the ambulance got there in time and they saved him and his leg.

I know for a fact he would have survived if it was the UK (NHS of peas).

Well they don't just wear leather. Most good leathers have "armor" that protects you from blunt trauma anyways. In races the armor is usually an entirely separate piece of equipment and it protects almost the entire upper body, sometimes they wear neck braces as well. The leathers are also usually much thicker. Gloves protect hands from blunt trauma and keep your wrists braced.

tl;dr motorcycle equipment makes a massive difference, and the higher the quality the more of a difference it will make.

People have walked away from 200kmph crashes totally fine, and I think 300kmph crashes with just some minor bruising

You're out of your mind if you think any 'armour' would have stopped his body from being torn apart by hitting those vertical blades at 300kmh.

those racers survive because they plow through 100 yards of gravel before they hit anything solid, which slows them down gradually. If you fall off your bike at 200mph on the road you will most likely hit something before you've slowed down to 180...

I'm 95% sure that it's the 1st guy. The "go pro" guy looked as though he survived since the footage, if the cam was attached to his head, didn't go spiraling and bouncing around as it would've if that was decapitated head that was found towards the end of the vid.
