People saying bet on sporting events that you remember the result of etc etc.

Once you start interacting with people back in 1950, you alter the outcome of nearly every connected thing all over the globe. You'd have to literally never interact with anything for history to follow exactly the same course.

Obtain as much money as I possibly can and bet on the Cleveland Browns to win the NFL Championship. Take my winnings and bet on the Rams the next year and the Detroit Lions the next year. Probably then start some criminal enterprise with my earnings, but I would already know a lot of the surveillance tactics and soon to be technology used by police, so I could probably have a lucrative career in it.

Edit: Years later I would also prevent the JFK assassination, just to see what kind of ripple effect it would have on history.

I've learned from old timers that there was a rootbeer stand at the end of my street in those days. So I'd haul ass to the rootbeer stand. My house was already here, so I'd just have to convince the nice family to let me move in early. Aside from the whole hating black people thing, I think I'd like 1950 better.

The days of just killing blacks for no reason were mostly over, but you're out of your mind if you think the justice system in 1950 Mississippi gave a fair trial to black men. It's fairly well documented otherwise.
