The Karate Kid remake was in China, with Jackie Chan as the new Miyagi. Japan = Karate, China = Kung Fu. Jackie Chan is a Kung Fu master.

Should have been called the Kung Fu kid, but Hollywood is full retard. Made no sense and the movie was awful.

Jesus. This isn't even like King Kong or something where it was worth updating the franchise with new technology and effects. The Matrix was way ahead of its time and holds up better than a lot of much newer films. There is literally nothing to gain from this.

-the old movie is truly lacking in special effects
-the original is a book adaption and actually unfaithful to a book with a huge fanbase
-if you want to remake it in a totally different way/genre
