There are a few Jersey Mike's nearby and they are a hell of a lot better than Subway. Their italian sub is legit like you'd get at a real deli, as opposed to the flavorless crap that Subway sells. To be fair, the Subway sandwich, chips, drink combo is not a bad deal if you are desperate. But their meat, bread, cheese etc with its faint chemical/preservative taste is so bad that I cannot eat there unless there is no other option around.

Subway doesn't put much meat on it as used to, one layer each. But I do like the different bread you can choose option. I also have Jersey Mike's and Jimmy John's nearby, so I go to those instead these days though.

Banh Mi's are goat but they're not accessible on every block when you're crunched for time, I mean I can get a good banh mi just a few blocks away but 95% of people can't. But yes subway is worse than mcdonalds quality, will never eat again.
