Brb less than 10% of life longers develop lung cancer and even less for other cancers... I always wonder where misc gets their statistics when this chit is on the internet posted by medical professionals with studies to prove it, yet people pour in shooting numbers out their azz

It's bad for you, but it's better than alcohol, which most people partake in so lol at the hypocrites and fgts

The consequences of smoking don't lie dormant, realize you're finally about 65-68y.o. and then all the terrible side-effects magically kick in.

The chances of you seeing all the nasty **** from smoking will kick in much, much sooner than the day before you die and these problems generally compound on one another, particularly heart and lung function, amongst others.

I was thinking about this the other day.

I can smoke, like if I go out for a beer, and never smoke again. Smoking either isn't addictive or I am some how immune to addiction.

I've never had a drug in my life I felt the NEED to go back and get, because I had to.

So, I believe that smoking may no be addictive and it's an imagined thing. If that's the case, then smokers, who can't stop, need cigarettes are some kind of special mental case that I don't entirely understand.

It may be like cutting and tattooing and all of that self-destructive stuff.

I find it fascinating.

35% chance of alcoholic hepatitis (liver) which progresses to worse things

Liver cirrhosis 15% (higher than the highest smoking cancer statistic)

LOADS of mental disorders stem from it

In addition, I have been on medication that made me feel badly when I stop taking it. That made me REALLY stop taking it, thus there is some weakness in people who feel they're addicted to things.

But, overall, I could sit and smoke half a pack or more and feel next to nothing, I smoke Marlboro Blacks or Reds, which are strong. I get bored with smoking after awhile, it doesn't pack enough punch to inspire me to smoke daily.

So, cigarettes cannot be truly addicting.

Similar point: I have recently gotten ripped on fast food. I'm huge and getting leaner by the day, thus fast food isn't "bad" or fattening. If you count macros and cals, you're good to go.

unless they die of lung cancer, many studies have shown that smokers live longer than non smokers. especially pipe and cigar smokers, as pipe and cigar smoke in moderation has almost zero risk of cancer. smoking one full size cigar per day gives something like a .5% increased chance of cancer.

i think it has more to with with over processed products like cigarettes and dip. they have like 5000 ingredients.

hookah, natural tobacco in handmade cigars, and pipes seem not as bad.
