This is how the GOAT should play a final with his country, right?

Ronaldo drags a bunch of farmers to the Euro trophy from the sideline at the end, meanwhile Messi retires in a fit of rage, and continues to avoid taxes. Undisputed GOAT now is Ronaldo.

Zidane has worked wonders for Ronaldo. Properly resting/rotating him and letting him get back to 100% fitness has meant absolute beast mode right in the most important parts of the season, he has been unreal since February. Probably his best season in a few years

don't know if i miss something, but hasn't messi scored far more goals and assists than ronaldo this season?
i watched some highlights. ronaldo as effective as always, but many tap ins etc. while messi takes apart entire teams on his own.
ronaldo played two great matches in the later rounds of champions league, but outside of that he wasn't as his best.

don't see how he's been better than messi but to each his own i guess.
real played a great season and they deserve this la liga of course. but the best player of the season plays in barcelona.

For years they have both competed with who can score the most hatricks against poor la liga sides to end up with 50/60 goals a season but nobody really cares about that, its simply doesnt matter

Ronaldo picks his spots and turns it on when it really counts, playing lights out in the big champions league games. Hes 32 now so cant do what he used to, its smart what hes done. Ronaldo goals in the semi and quarter finals are worth more than all of messi's league goals

argue what? there is literally nothing to argue when talking about the GOAT of this generation, every single person who's opinion matters in the footballing world whether it's players, managers, pundits etc agrees that messi is far and away the best player, ronaldo occupies one position whereas messi can literally play every role in the final third, false 9, inverted winger/inside forward, playmaker, not only can he finish he can also create which is something tapnaldo lacks, even at his peak all ronaldo was good for beside tap ins was long shots and headers

if it wasn't for bumass higuain messi would be a two time copa winner and a world champ, instead this fuking trash can eder scores and suddenly ronaldo is GOAT for contributing absolutely nothing in the final and the majority of the tournament, i mean i get it, this forum is full of homos who salivate over good looking dudes but jesus christ maybe wipe ronnie's cum from your eyes for 2 seconds and see him for what he really is

I frequent many football forums and this is the only place anyone has ever suggested the two of them are even close, most people say Messi without a doubt.

Yes he scored hat-tricks against Bayern and Atleti but it's because his teammates like Marcelo (best Madrid player this year by far) find him open all the time and give him clear-cut scoring chances, Messi does not have the same privilege at Barcelona almost all his goals are a result of his own doing. Ronaldo is a product of his team, if Real play well Ronaldo in effect plays well because they are creating chances for him and he is scoring. He is unable to break matches open by himself when the team needs a spark. He offers nothing other than goals. It is not him alone turning it on in the big matches, it is his teammates who do they heavy lifting, and find him for the goal. Messi is playing as an attacking mid and still scoring more goals and creating loads of chances for his teammates. He is a true game changer.

Just what the actual fuk are you talking about? Iniesta has been below average because he is old as fuk and therefore has only had 23 la liga starts anyway. Rakitic and Neymar have been quite average this season, but never the less Rakitic has been good at controlling the pace of games (he is a poverty modric) and Neymar still has 13 goals and 11 assists in the la liga alone. Saying Suarez has turned to chit is retarded.. for large stretches of the season he was superior to Messi...29 goals and 15 assists in the la liga in 35. Not bad even for his standards.

Obviously not been watching and are talking completely out of your arsehole.
In fact Ronaldo didn't even make the La Liga XI this year, that tell you all you need to know.

Most of CR7's goals this season have been tap-ins, he doesn't have the individual quality that Messi has.

He has been inferior to Messi this season by every metric: goals, assists, chances created, dribbles etc. CR7 is one-trick pony at this point, but that one trick is very good.

LOL Messi has more trohpies, more leagues and more CLs (final coming up for CR7 to tie). Ronaldo has been in Spain since 2009 and only has TWO league titles to show for it, that is a pathetic display.
Shame that Messi can't perform as well as he used to because he doesn't have the best midfield comp in the world as he used to :l

Shame that he has only played in Barça and will probably never play anywhere else to prove us how "good" he is outside his own playfield, I mean, just look at his international appearances lmao.

Ronaldo was pretty much the reason why Portugal even got to the finals to begin with, not to mention all the support & how much he hyped up the players during the finals, he wasn't the one who won the final game but he was the one who got them there and he definitely helped them win.

Except several world best coaches & players also said otherwise.

Opinions are divided, titles speak for themselves & honestly, until Messi can show that he can perform outside Barça no1 will truly regard him as the goat like people do with Ronaldo

Delusional cope, since there is no comparison between who is actually the better player on the pitch you've resorted to arguing that Messi needs to prove himself outside Barca. Barca has been crap this season and Messi would've had better service in almost every other European giant than he's had at Barca this campaign. This is the GOAT we're talking about he does not to go anywhere to prove himself. He's in Barcelona through countless coaching changes, player changes, transition periods etc and Barca have always remained one of the top teams in the world. It is no coincidence that Barca continues to win regardless of any other external forces and that reason is Messi who has been a constant on the team for the last 10 years.

I'm sure Ronaldo had it real tough with Man United at their peak with world class players and a top manager. You're taking as if he carried Everton to a CL.

Opinions are not divided at all, there may be a few footballing figures that will take Ronaldo over him, but for every one person that say CR7 is better there are 10 arguing in favour of Messi.

Tell me this is not the GOAT.
