Thought that was a cover for a low quality porn. Rap is quite trash these days for my taste but the odd time they have a good beat.

Honestly it's hard to argue against that reasoning.

Rap music has had a big impact on culture, especially urban culture. It's one of many factors, and I'm not so sure that I would even argue that it's a primary factor, but it has definitely played a role in the degeneracy that has become so prevalent.

I know, I know, rap music was a response to a bad situation. Well it doesn't seem like a good response, at least gangster rap. You should respond to a bad situation by fixing it. Not making it worse.

I don't think so actually. Where is there evidence that rock music/death metal, or any other type of music, has had the same sort of negative impact on people that gangster rap has had?

I'm not saying that gangster rap has played the pivotal role but I don't think that it can be reasonably argued that it hasn't contributed to the negativity that we see in its consumers.

don't like either of them

marilyn mansons actually fkin triggering

look at that disgusting chit LOL

and those don't serve as arguments, rap and its fans are conistently violent and bad. a lot of death metal isn't violent other than the sound, and doesn't talk about cliche disgusting stuff, usually about religion, lifes meaning, morality and **** like that. or will be just some made up dream world and itll be themed around that, usually evil, but still not disgusting or anything. just a evil theme. i don't think it influences anyone, but sounds cool like nightwork by diabolical masquerade.

This takes a ton of talent, and the artists in this put out a ton of music that have a positive influence on people than rap does. rap is negative poverty music that literally takes no skill to make. Always the same unoriginal chit, the genre can't be that original since what definies it is something you can't vary on much; rap is simpleton music.

See ppl that say another genre is such a wonderful art and saves lives and all about positivity then say rap takes no skill at all really are ignorant. Then of course youre gonna post your one or 2 lil songs to backup your arguement. At the end of the day music is an art felt differently by different ppl.

I can't answer that as I don't know how accurate the premise is but I do know that anyone producing such negativity does not care about their audience.

That negative music has been pushed and pushed onto people and has created a culture of its own. Certainly bad things were going on before gangster rap became a hit, I'm not denying that, but gangster rap created an entire subculture that was and is even more negative than what was there originally.

And it's more than just gangster rap. I'm not even sure why I'm using that phrase. A lot of rap has a very negative message and that negative message is having a big impact on impressionable young people. Glorifying the drug trade. Glorifying crime. It isn't surprising that so many young people end up spending time in prison.
