I must preface my comment with this: I'm not saying you're ugly, unattractive, or anything like that. So, don't blow a fuse on me and get all defensive here.

From the pictures of you that were posted in that other thread, you don't seem nearly attractive enough to be an NFL cheerleader.

Don't get me wrong, most cheerleaders in the NFL are decently attractive I guess. Some are above average, some are below, and then you have a couple teams who just have straight 10's on the cheer roster (COWBOYS). But, when you think of a cheerleader for any professional sport, you think of a 9/10 because they are essentially being paid to be attractive.

So, my question is how did you get this job? Again, not saying you're ugly or unattractive. I'm not attacking you, this is a legitimate question. How much do looks play a part in getting a cheering gig or is it mostly just connections and actual "cheering" ability?

I can't post anything with team colors/logo but I do plan to post my progress pics, which will be me in a practice outfit with poms. Will try get them on the field, they're bitchy about cameras/phones at practice. I can def. get one in the dance studio with the other girls.

I'm not mad. I'll post better pictures. Those were 2 to 3 years old. I can tell you this, I have a modeling contract and I am not the ugliest one on my team.

No brag, not saying I am amazing but I'm above average looking IRL and have never been told otherwise by any of the people who hired me.

ETA: there is an interview portion where they try to make sure you are not a total dumbass and won't embarrass them. If you are really stupid, they won't pick you.

Last girl I dated was a NFL cheerleader. Ridiculous working hours for little pay and stupid chit like selling calendars and stuff. Still seems like a cool gig if you're into it though. And awesome life experience.

Also if you plan on going overseas with the USO or whatever, that chit is amazing. Honestly NFL cheerleaders are like the #1 thing you would want to see in a warzone.

This is a huge part of the reason I agreed to do it. My father was on duty and some cheerleaders did a USO tour for him. I was only like 8 when this happened but it stuck with me. It's not always easy, my back is a disaster and I'm running out of ways to manage the pain but I can't see myself quitting. It's such a small window to be able to do something like this.

The pay is not great. We rent our uniforms, we don't buy. They're custom tailored for each girl. If you make it to fifth year, you get to keep it.

Technically both. The team more so but the NFL has a lot of discretion over how we do things.

Most of the girls are in long term relationships, there's not as much casual sex as you may think. A lot of them date other athletes--basketball players, hockey players etc. A couple are married to regular (ish) guys.

Such is life for me that I am actually not big into athletes.
