IS issues a protection order for him signed by a leader and allows him and his son to travel around Mosul, Raqqa and Deir Ezzor. This is probably my favorite documentary, because he is there: he interviews European fighters, he interviews an IS judge, an emir of a Diwan that I can't remember right now, and he even talks to a hostage who was in their custody. There are other documentaries in Arabic/French, I'll try to find them later.
If you don't have Amazon, you can rent it on YouTube for $3. Look up "Inside IS: 10 days in the Islamic State"

I personally am worried about ISIS. It seems like the state of ISIS is declining, but the belief of ISIS is growing. You look at Africa and Asia, more and more groups pledging allegiance to ISIS. Constant ISIS inspired attacks in EU. And maybe I am being paranoid, but I still fear that there are many ISIS direct cells in EU that are still on standby, I am talking about actual ISIS fighters sent to EU, not European Muslims who are inspired by ISIS.
9/11 was a long time ago. All the Islamic attacks so far have been small scale.

The next battleground in Iraq will be in Hawija and al-Qaim.
They've lost like 63% of Raqqa. Really intense battles there, a lot of back and forth action. But their most senior leaders relocated before the battle started to the new "capital", al-Mayadeen. The Euphrates corridor is proving more and more to be the place to watch. To give you an example why, the man who helped plan the New Year's Eve bombing in Istanbul (Abdul Rahman al-Uzbeki) was killed in al-Mayadeen.
And you can feel their pulse again in Libya, they are regrouping. Last week they beheaded 9 LNA soldiers and two civilians and more recently they held a checkpoint and arrested some people in east of Sirte. So definitely keep your eye on Libya.
2015 and 2016 was their strongest years as far as attacks outside of their borders are concerned. This year has been pretty big for them as well in that category.
During the last three years, a campaign of assassinations eliminated most of the Islamic State leadership - and nearly all of them have been killed by the US, so I don't see why people are saying US is supporting it lol who helped liberate Mosul? Who's helping liberate Raqqa? US

1979 to 1989 - American taxpayers arm Taliban against the Soviet Union:
Operation Cyclone was the code name for the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) program to arm and finance the Jihadi warriors, mujahideen, in Afghanistan from 1979 to 1989,prior to and during the military intervention by the USSR in support of its client, the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan. The program leaned heavily towards supporting militant Islamic groups that were favored by the regime of Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq in neighboring Pakistan, rather than other, less ideological Afghan resistance groups that had also been fighting the Marxist-oriented Democratic Republic of Afghanistan regime since before the Soviet intervention.[1]Operation Cyclone was one of the longest and most expensive covert CIA operations ever undertaken;[2] funding began with $20–$30 million per year in 1980 and rose to $630 million per year in 1987

So the guy who got the protection order (the German journalist Jürgen Todenhöfer) to travel to the *Islamic State* and tour Raqqa/Mosul/Deir Ezzor, was recently featured in an IS magazine (Rumiyah) - underneath a picture of him and his son, they said "a kafir whose covenant of security has ended and whose blood is halal once more" - probably because when he returned to Europe, he talked ****
And yeah they have crazy support, even now. France, Belgium, Florida, UK, Berlin and even Spain were hit. What impresses me most is the fact that, for example, Anis Amri (Berlin attacker) sent a video of himself to an official IS media branch pledging allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and they released it as proof that it was their work. They do this after nearly every attack they claim (release a video or picture of the suspect, sent to them by the suspect to prove he is one of their soldiers) and it just shows you their level of sophistication. They're so much better at this than al-Qā’idah lol. I remember months after the Paris attacks, they released a video showing some of the attackers training in Syria/Iraq and preparing for their mission in Europe. Each attacker beheaded a soldier then pointed their knives at the camera saying it was going to happen soon and it did, and they said the Khalifa personally instructed them to do it. It's crazy to think that that video was sitting on a hard drive somewhere for months, before the attacks even happened. Even more sadder is that it wasn't intercepted.
Their faces uncovered, their Kunyas, their voices - all sitting on a hard drive somewhere in Syria, before the attack in Paris. Welp

Giving that authority to commanders on the field is big, but one could argue civilians are suffering more now because of it.
Obama deserves way more credit though of course. He authorized the preparational stages for all of these ground campaigns months and months before Trump was even in the picture. Like Raqqa, the campaign to liberate Raqqa began in November, before Trump was president.
