Here is the thing that never gets mentioned when they talk about blacks being killed in disproportion numbers by the police.
From 1980 to 2013, there were 2,269 officers killed in felonious incidents, and 2,896 offenders. The racial breakdown of offenders over the 33-year period was on par with the 10-year period: 52 percent were white, and 41 percent were black.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...=.13a41eb487ca

So let's unpack that. If we call blacks in the US 13% of the population they are killing police officers at a rate disproportionate to their percentage of the population. You figure the majority of the killing were done by males and that number jumps even more because you have lets say 7% of the population committing, conservatively, over 1/3 of all police killings.

All the witnesses were his buddies, who were also ghetto trash. That made me believe that he was guilty and deserved to be put down was what he was doing not 30 minutes prior. He was robbing a convenience store. Now stealing is not something that warrants the death penalty, but violence against people who have done you no harm certainly is. He sealed his fate in my eyes when he decided to assault the convenience clerk, who was 1/3rd his size. Based on his violence which was caught on video, I'm more inclined to believe the cop's story, rather than the story given by his neighbors.

Also, don't forget that his family got into a huge public, violent brawl over who could sell RIP Michael Brown shirts. The whole lot of them isn't worth a gram of shyt, and the world would be a better place if they all just disappeared from this planet.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Important to note that "On non-lethal uses of force, blacks and Hispanics are more than fifty percent more likely to experience some form of force in interactions with police. Adding controls that account for important context and civilian behavior reduces, but cannot fully explain, these disparities."

- Use of lethal force among black Americans is within the expected trend.
- Use of non lethal force amongst black/hispanic Americans is significantly higher than expected.

This means that police brutality is STILL an issue among racial minorities.
Not true. More cases of assault on and fleeing from police by race. Context is key. We all know white dudes is corny and be all like "okay" with authority. Not so much in the black community.

unsurprisingly the article neglected to mention that cops, all else equal are substantially more likely to use force against blacks. "look at this smart black man find evidence the liberal narrative! then we discard the stuff that obviously proves the contrary"
Moreover, the results do not mean that the general public’s perception of racism in policing is misguided. Lethal uses of force are exceedingly rare. There were 1.6 million arrests in Houston in the years Mr. Fryer studied. Officers fired their weapons 507 times. What is far more common are nonlethal uses of force.

And in these uses of force, Mr. Fryer found racial differences, which is in accord with public perception and other studies.

In New York City, blacks stopped by the police were about 17 percent more likely to experience use of force, according to stop-and-frisk records kept between 2003 and 2013. (In the later year, a judge ruled that the tactic as employed then was unconstitutional.)

That gap, adjusted for suspect behavior and other factors, was surprisingly consistent across various levels of force. Black suspects were 18 percent more likely to be pushed up against a wall, 16 percent more likely to be handcuffed without being arrested and 18 percent more likely to be pushed to the ground.

Even when the police said that civilians were compliant, blacks experienced more force.

Mr. Fryer also explored racial differences in force from the viewpoint of civilians, using data from a nationally representative survey conducted by the federal government. Here, he found racial gaps in force that were larger than those he found in the data reported from the officers’ perspective. But these gaps were also consistent across many different types of force.

If you ever need an argument settled, once and for all, just ask a Harvard professor to conduct a study. They do it right. And, to their credit, they report on the results–even when those results don’t support their own agendas.

The hands up BS was shown false a long time ago. It never happened. That some are still so clueless about that event and think it did, shows us why we have these problems right now, cuz feels over facts every time. Fark, if people took 5 mins to look.

More proof that call volume is the missing link. Why were the police there. Very important fact. The black community in metropolitan areas litterally terrorizes their own people nearly 24/7. Police are called in to attempt to prevent it and thusly are involved by the numbers.

Had to use force hundreds of times throughout career. Maybe only a couple times on whites. Fact is most calls do not involve them. How does that equate to more likely by race? More likely by interaction volume...crime infested and impoverished.

You got that right. This came out last week about the rise in murders in the US in 2016 over 2015.
Chicago, the nation’s third-biggest city, accounted for 22% of the nationwide increase with 765 murders last year, more than the number of murders in the largest city, New York (334), and the second-largest, Los Angeles (294), combined. The vast majority of these killings happened in five mostly black and Latino neighbourhoods on the south and west side where only 9% of the 2.7m city lives.

Well yes...science doesnt have opinions. And there werent dozens of witnesses. There were about half dozen for both sides. Impartial and black witnesses gave an account of what happened matching darren wilsons account and the science verifying it.

Dude got smoked because he asked for it. His homeboy that gave the hands up account on the news didnt dare give it to the grand jury or the feds. Because lie lol pew pew pew

There have been countless studies disproving the myth that blacks are treated worse by police than other races.

TWICE as many whites are killed by cops than blacks.

Liberals don't wan a hear it though. They need their blacks to be victims so they can prolong the narrative.

The biggest thing that pisses me off about BLM is this

-Black person kills a kid in CHICAGO nobody gives a **** no protests (actually there was like 19 black people including a little girl that died in one weekend at the time of BLM protests)
- White police office kills a 40 year old felon that has been in and out of jail OMFG protest burn vandilise this is CRAZY we cant allow this

What the ****?? So clearly to BLM group some little kid that was killed by a black person and who had their whole life ahead of them means alot less then some felon who was arristing arrest or borderline resisting arrest. Worse yet 19 blacks lives dont matter as long as their are killed by a black person. MIND = BLOWN

I don't necessarily believe in numbers. I still think blacks are more likely to get pulled and/or shot. That bad stigma of being a thug rapper/drug dealer. It's just hard for me to believe it's balanced out.

What areas of California, Texas, Florida did they study and what were the %s? Of course 1 race is gonna get shot more because they're dominate

Not currently. 3/5ths was there before and it was to tamp racist slaveowners using their slave stock to ramp votes for Democrats, the party of slavery and now modern day oppression.
