It's a shame you can never tell if posts like this are a case of the hypochondriaz or what. I mean you can google pretty much any supplement you can think of and find all kinds of crazy stories about all kinds of crazy effects that all kinds of crazy people got from said supplement. But with that being said, I don't like to just automatically dismiss peoples experiences either..sigh...

Too lazy to take it in powdered form so I get the pills when I do want to take it. Pills are stupid expensive compared to regular mono so I just don't bother anymore

On this topic... if anyone has any definitive answers on creatine and hair loss, I would love to hear it.

I just started and got off creatine last week because of it.

Just working out in general and having anabolic potency increases DHT. The same things that make you a powerful male make you speed up the masculine process.

Creatine helps accelerate the process. Its a serious thing. Only take creatine if you have a rock solid Norwood with projections of no hair problems for life.

I swear the people claiming it causes hair loss must have just read one of the jokes pretending creatine is an illegal supplement.

All the people claiming it raises DHT are the same ones who claim no fap raises your test. I’ve never seen any evidence of this in actual bloodwork. I mean, lower body fat raises test and lowers estrogen. So I guess be fat if you’d like?

For the past month I was saving up for something. Something special which I bought at GNC. I was surprised they didn't ask for ID; I was pretty sure the cashier noticed how nervous I was. Anyways, my mom asked my how my day was when I got home, but I ignored her. I have more important things to do. I run to the bathroom and unpack my bag. In my school bag is a white plastic bag from GNC. I open the bag, first removing the receipt and flushing it down the toilet to get rid of the evidence. My heart was racing now. I unpack the creatine monster from the bag.
I wonder what people will be asking me when they see that I will be 50lbs heavier. Should I say I was just eating a lot? I remove the label from the tub and tear it into a thousand small pieces. I flush that down the toilet, too. It is time now. I run up to my room when my mom ask me what I am holding. I panic, sweat drips down my forehead and my teeth chatter. "Mom, it's just for a school project". "What project?" "I don't know mom I just started it!". A tear runs down my cheek. I run upstairs and open the creatine, scooping upservings into a clear water bottle. What have I gotten myself into? I fill it with water and drink it. There is no turning back now. The creatine monster is inside me now, it will control me. What should I do if I die? I cant let my family know about this.
I open the creatine tub and throw it all out the window; a white cloud of mysterious dust sparkles into the wind so graciously. I feel the substance taking control of me; I am now the monster. I walk downstairs, its time to work out; time to get big. Now I worry, I don't want to get too big; people will think I use steroids. I do use steroids. No I don't. Creatine. All I see is the weights now, I am almost downstairs when I hear "Do you want a cookie I just baked". I know I do not have time for this **** now. "No mom I do not want a cookie" I walk in the basement and drop to my knees before the weights, tears running down my cheeks. I turn to the right and look at myself in the mirror. Oh god, what have I done?

thats why i dont take it anymore

I just think it’s funny how caught up people get in the MPB thing. It’s literally one of the least controllable aspects of your appearance. It’s hardwired into your genetics. They could focus on their physique, their skin, their teeth, their fashion sense... but they lose sleep at night focusing on the one thing they won’t actually be able to undo without surgery.

It doesn't. Then again, one size doesn't fit all. Which just means it doesn't have the same affect for everyone. Some may notice a difference, while other will notice very little or no change at all. Think of it like OTCs: no one cure works for everyone. But that doesn't mean they're worthless...except for you.

I take it because its been sitting in my cupboards for months, so I may as well use it up.

Wot? Neither of those studies even tested DHT levels, and the hormones that were tested were only tested for a short time before and after exercise (30 min before/after exercise ).

Yea I guess, but still hormone levels were only tested (at the longest) 30 min before/after exercise. saying "if people are afraid of a rise in DHT, they shouldn't lift at all" based on those studies seems silly. To speculate that the rise in DHT seen in that one creatine study was due to getting an extra rep seems equally silly. JMO.

Well for me,

Holds water in muscles, not subcutaneous, so no bloat absent of other factors that bloat me (high carbs, sodium, etc)

Never noticed hair thinning

Gives an extra rep or so when I've gassed out my energy (as body switches energy source)

So yeah, if I remember to chuck a scoop into my shake, and i do it for a few weeks, i def feel the difference (unless its placebo and my subconscious is going CREEEEAATTTINNNNE HHOOOOOOO!! for that extra rep)

No other effects on skin, dong, mood, etc.
We're all gonna make it.
