Feel the same as you OP, although I don't live in 'murrica. I live in the best country with the best nature and the best weather. Traveling is boring imo, I'd rather take a 20 min drive to a forest near me to fly fish in some trout lakes. All the feels I need right there.

Traveling, for 99% of people has zero to do with "experiencing new cultures", trying new foods, seeing a beautiful place, and 100% to do with rubbing in your face the second you get home. I have one ONEONEreason to travel:

THAT'S IT.If I don't think I gonna fuk a ton of strange hole when I get there, I am literally lighting money on fire by booking a flight in my eyes. And if you can get laid domestically, the travel to get poosy incentive gets smaller and smaller. But I at least respect guys who are honest enough to admit it. Not saying it isn't fun or enjoyable sometimes, but it's not even CLOSE to justifying the money and headaches that packing, planning, flying, expenses, etc. I liken it to a night out with the brahs at the bar. I enjoy going out, getting a few drinks, getting yucky, partying on a Saturday night. If going out to the city with my boys cost $1500, required a plane ticket, I had to wait 8 hours to get there, well suddenly getting drunk doesn't sound that appealing anymore. Traveling gives me close the same satisfaction, but a chit ton more time and money ("b-b-b-b-bbbut you get social media bragging rights!") Yea. You can keep it lol.Yea all that's cool and all, but I'm willing to bet you fall into the 99% who parrot this bullchit to act like your enjoying yourself when eating chit food, getting chit service, and burning up your savings. I tell sloots the same thing and they eat it up, you look so "worldly" and hot when you talk about where you been, where you wanna go, etc. And even if you do fall in the 1% of people who are REAL travelers, who have a serious traveling bone, who have a natural born thirst for adventure, even then, the cost of traveling makes it almost not even worth it. Traveling would make sense if I were CEO10k/day and traveling was equal or less than half of 1% of my yearly income. If I could snap my fingers and teleport to Hawaii or Nepal or South America or whatever location gives you hipster *******s a boner so you can take pictures with your giant SLR, and this teleportation cost me the equivalent of a night bowling a few lanes, then I could see the appeal. But fukking lol at people making 40-50k, pulling money out of their 401k, starving themselves for weeks so they can fly halfway across the world to impress some chick at the bar. Protip: just read some travelblog, photoshop your face onto his "trying tarantula casseroles in Thailand!! #adventurous" selfies and you can fuk the same basic bish using traveler game and it'll cost you nothing except the beers to get her drunk.

Or maybe I'd rather spend my money on seeing the things of my own country and supporting my countrymen with my money than go to some chithole across the Atlantic to contribute to their people so I can look down my nose as a well traveled, cultured, dignified human.

agree 100%, I fukking hate "travel snobs". I swear, if every nation in the world made taking pictures or telling anybody that you went on vacation illegal, travel agencies and tourism revenue would drop by 95%+ srs. For the average sloot, or person who claims to "looveee traveling" it has very little to do with seeing new places, experiencing different cultures, trying new foods, meeting new people, expanding your horizons and your experience of the world, and almost everything to do with rubbing their "great wisdom" and "enlightened soul" from traveling and seeing the world in your face.

Its all about social media brownie points, its all about waiting for the day you are all drinking Guinness, somebody days, "man I love Guinness!" just so travelsloot can finally say "oh its nothing compared to Guinness in Dublin", its all about trying to feel like a better person than you. Oh, you flew in a plane halfway accross the world to stay in an expensive hotel to walk around a city and drink alcohol in bars? That sounds so awesome, there's no way you could have done that in the your own country. You even took some selfies in front of some obvious landmarks so you have proof the vacation happened.

The idea of traveling sounds cool, but only if I had a chit ton of disposable money to play with, where traveling puts a very small dent into my wallet. I'd wanna be making at least 150k, with little expense in my life, to justify traveling.
