So I balked on that first XTR II that I said I was going to buy so I could get the Chargemaster instead. But now I just sent the monies for an XTR II 3-15 that's "like new" with box and Weaver rings for $675 shipped. I think that's an alright price...

Now I have to learn mils. Always had MOA scopes my whole life. I feel like this is going to lead to a sell off of all my scopes and upgrades.

For how terrible of a law that is (not just the anti-gun, anti-Rights, anti-Liberty aspect, but the practical vagueness etc) that is pretty close. But, you escaped without losing more ground today, anyway...

Seems like that'll be their go to plan. Vague laws that can encompass a lot, and really screw people. WE MUST KEEP FIGHTING. Joined GOA a week ago, donated $50 more to the NRA.

Yes, escaped it a good term.

Seeing as how putting a zev trigger in your glock could be considered a felony, the bill was entirely too close.

I need to double check how the votes went, but it appears we had some blue dog rural democrat saviors once again...

As much as I despise the majority of their ideologies I truly appreciate the few democrats who stood against their party for the 2nd Amendment.

Only in Illinois will you hear someone like myself call a blue dog a savior...

Be happy you aren't so far gone that no such thing as a blue dog savior exists. See CA, NJ, HI, MD, etc, at this point even CO is farther along than IL as they already have a mag capacity ban

Yeah, sometimes the blue dogs come thru. I've met a couple before, you can actually have a convo with them and they won't be offended by little things, such as the color of your shirt or some cultural appropriation BS. I take this as a good sign that it failed, albeit only by a little bit though.

Mil is easier math. You did good.

Either way, you can shortcut the math by using the reticle. As long and the turrets match the reticle, which your scope does, you just use the reticle for a guide.

Illinois is an anomaly with how split it is politically. Hopefully the people flooding out of the state in record numbers are democrats while all of us poor rural conservatives of both parties remain.

NY is the same way too. All of upstate is red. It's the city that friggin swings the state.
They also don't want to say what the problem is in the cities for fear of being called racist. It's easier to blame the object that cant object rather than the gangs tearing their communities up. I do not see why the US gov't can't go after the gangs like they did the mafia.

I would think all the gangs combined are pulling in quite a bit of money with the drug trade, and the deaths that are associated with the opioids and such. Not to mention the deaths in the major cities attributed to the gangs killing eachother and innocent bystanders. But I suppose there will always be somebody ready to step up in the drug trade, as there is an insane amount of money to be made.

So long as the government thinks it has the right to tell supposedly sovereign individuals what they can or cannot put into their body (and often for specious reasons) this will be the case.
