I would've responsed by saying "don't worry who I am, the fck?" And if he would've taken my hat and thrown it I'm shoving him as hard as I can and will be ready to fight if he actually was about it. Most guys fold real quick when you call them on their bullsht. And even if I had gotten my ass kicked I would've been able to respect myself for not allowing myself to get b1tched out. Like last week I was at a club and some dude shoved me out his way from behind and as he walked by I shoved his ass right back, he turned his head (but kept walking) and made a face and I just stared at him with a what are you going to do face. He was with walking with his gf too lol.

You screwed up from the start. When he said "who's this guy?" you should have approached him confidently, extended your hand for a handshake, and introduced yourself to him loudly so everyone could hear.

Best case is he respects you and he's cool all night.

Worst case is he just makes little jerk comments about you behind your back all night to his friends but he probably wouldn't have had the balls to do anything more (like take your hat) and everyone else would probably just think he's the jerk.
