If this is the outcry when mild subtypes role through, I can only imagine the panic during the inevitable pandemic of highly pathogenic H5 or H7 subtype strains. And you can thank Asia when they do.

Also, stay as warm as possible, uncomfortably/sweaty hot if you can stand it. The last time I had the flu I sweated through weeks worth of underwear in 2 days.
I slept on bath towels and had them lined up so as they got soaked I'd just drop one and pull over another. Much easier than having to change wet sheets twice a day.
Symptoms began to clear within a couple days rather than the usual week. Whatever you do don't get cold. A chill will bring it back for the duration. You don't get colds/flu from cold but being exposed does lower your resistance.

And a hint for those of you wishing to NOT contract the virus : put a humidifier in your house or preferably several AND keep the temp warmer (70F+). Viral shelf life in the environment is incredibly dependent on ******t temperature and A/R humidity.

don't wash your hands frequently and don't use anti bacterial crap that just lowers your immune system. get dirty often and embrace it. look towards fasting sometimes to increase your immune system. that is all. 2+ years counting here that i haven't gotten sick. here's to 2+ more.

It's going around like wildfire. Has to take my daughter to the er when she had it just before Xmas. And she had the flu shot. Don't be stubborn with this one, especially if your fever gets above 105. This one is killing people

If you’re a hygiene hypothesis supporter, under very specific circumstances it may hold water, but overall there is far more literature published in opposition to it than in favor.
