He was an introvert with an extremely high IQ i'm sure. They can't relate to normal people and tend to isolate and think. Unless he went to a bar or had great social skills he probably had no chance to get laid back then.

I've literally heard of his accomplishments and how great he was my entire life. It's been two decades since he was over rated. We can stop beating that horse now.

The fact of the matter is, his accomplishments didn't have the same reverberating fundamental impacts in academia as other greats like Newton, Euler, Maxwell, Fourier, & Einstein. These guys formed the basis of all tech theory today.

Just because we learned about Edison in grade school instead doesn't mean there's some sort of great injustice.

Nah I'll continue to call him underrated until he is taught in schools. I was disgusted when I discovered him and learned I didn't know anything about him prior to my own research via the internet.
