I've only noticed I was dreaming a few times. Usually if I'm sick or under the weather and I know I feel terrible while sleeping. Sometimes have the same dream over and over waking up in between which I think sparks it. Other is bad dreams I usually force myself out of.

I know I'm dreaming but it feels real. I'm watching myself and being an actor at the same time.

After learning certain techniques, aliens with white hair started showing up as I went lucid and showed/taught me things. Won't go into detail but, each time it happens, I wake up in a very strange state.

Every lucid dream I've had eventually degenerated into me grabbing and banging any female that appeared in my dream. I also gained the ability to fly and go through walls, which helped in my search for women. Once I got too lucid though, I always woke up.

I had these a lot more when I was younger. Don't remember the last time I've had one.

I've had a WILD one time. It was truly wild. After getting through the sleep paralysis, I jumped straight into a conscious dream that started in the same lying on my back position in my room. I got out of bed and started walking to do things but I kept losing clarity. I knew I was dreaming cause I could still feel the pillow on the back of my head. So I kept looked at my hands, clapping, and spun around to regain focus. It didn't last long and ultimately I never made it out of my room before waking up.

I wish I could explore lucid dreaming fully, but it takes a lot of work to achieve. You have to keep a sleep journal and really put some effort into lucid dreaming. At the end of the day, I don't think the effort is worth it. I don't sleep as well because of nightmares and thinking about the meaning my dreams when I was trying to keep a dream journal. In my normal state, I don't have to worry about any of that stuff because I completely forget my dreams 30 seconds after I wake up. I think I prefer it that way.

Did the pushing fingers through hand and counting fingers reality check for the first time. Last night in dream finger hit my palm sparks flew and its sounded like a gunshot. Thought I woke up but I had 3 fingers on my hand. I dont think I realiized it was a dream though. What did I do wrong?

You had whats known as a false awakening, but the answer to you question is quite simple: your lucidity was very low, almost nonexistent. This happens with newbies and even some advanced people from time to time. There's just something in that moment that prevents you from realizing you're dreaming.

And the whole topic is interesting, I mean, why don't we all lucid dream all the time? Your brain puts a whole lot of effort into convincing you that you're not dreaming, even when it's very obvious sometimes.

Good job on getting through sleep paralysis right into a dream. This can be terrifying if accompanied by auditory chit like voices or loud sounds. I used to feel pressure as if something is crushing my ribs prior to the dream forming. Yeah, this time you never made it out of your room because the dreamed failed to stabilize. It's not always like that though.

It's certainly not for someone who is busy. I wish I had more time to put my mind to it, because I truly had some mindblowing experiences. I'm even convinced that it's possible to affect your physical body in a lucid dream, when it comes to speeding up healing wounds, recovering better from an illness etc.

Any chance of coma or heart attack from this? Had a death one once where I knew it was a dream but watched my self still bleed out. Woke up heart was pumping like I had been running.

Lulz, can't believe this took until page 2. I've always had vivid and insane dreams, but rarely ever sex dreams. I always dream about what I think about, except sex. Maybe I just think about it too much?? I just wanna have sex dreams.
So now that I'm an old fukker, most of my lucid dreaming is triggered by the fact that I have to pee early in the morning when dreaming is most vivid. If I have to pee, but can't find a toilet, or can't go, it's a dream. As soon as I realize this, I try to find someone to phuck lol.
The one time this actually worked, my sister was the only person around in the dream (and objectively, my uglier sister). But I'm like ehhh, it's just a dream, doesn't matter. So I'm jackhammering her doggystyle trying to blow before I wake up, but it doesn't work. Kind of disturbing, but you know what they say, if you tell your dreams they'll never come true. So I'm telling you guys now to ensure that it never comes true.

Haven't lucid dreamed since I was a child. There are ways to do it on youtube but I'm scared to try it because sometimes lucid dreams come with sleep paralysis....F*ck that.

Idk if I’ve ever had a lucid dream but I’ve had sleep paralysis. Never saw anything but just felt like someone is in my bedroom and I woke up screaming help only to realize I’m not really screaming and just mumbling

meh, most of my dreams are lucid dreams, and they're not as trippy as the others where I DONT KNOW I'm dreaming.

It's the dreams that feel like real life that are crazy, where you wake up and you think whatever happened actually happened.
