Surprised at all the gaming hate, I have very fond memories of gaming in net cafes in highschool with friends on a friday night etc

let's be honest, if you weren't gaming you'd 100% be watching tv, not out socialising like you think you'd be

Aimlessly browsing and reading forums. I learn some things but I sometimes feel like my free time could be better spent on something else.

Gaming easily

Spent 3 years of my life in front of a computer screen age 14-17 playing 8-10 hours per day. **** that chit never again.

Took me a year or more just to make back a good social circle that I had lost after 3 years of being alone every day in my room playing for 8-10 hours and neglecting any social contact

My only hobby is gaming and no regerts.

I only wish I was born a decade later so I could have been on twitch monetizing it.

Cant be in your 30s playing games on a webcam for a bunch of kids no matter how good you are.
I was a beast in socom 2, had a hyuuge clan that I ran, did gamebattles and had a great record.

Same, I still game but not nearly as much. It is a great way to keep in touch with my bros from home when I moved across the country. The key is to not mindlessly play for hours. Giving up a social life for games not even once.

How could that go wrong? My wife has a little 2x2 patch of soil she uses for herb growth and it lasts the whole summer.

Scootering. It was never worth it lol. Didn't look cool, and I bombed a few hills in my childhood, resulting in permanent scars on my legs

Collecting music albums. Paid up to $200 for a rare vinyl/CD's before. Wouldn't want to know how much I've spent it total, ugh.

That feel when you dont really have hobbies. I dont count the gym as a hobby because I dont like it, it's just something I do.

I collect things like sega genesis games but only play them for like 30 minutes every 3 months.

When I lived at home many years ago my dad and I had the joint hobby of a salt water aquarium. Salt water aquariums are a money and time pits. There was always something new to buy or something to clean. I would image we had 10k worth of coral in our aquarium and another 5-10k in fish.

Brb...Fish attacks another fish...There goes a 1k
Brb...Minor imbalance in tank and coral dies...There goes another 1k

It was endless and you couldn't give me another salt water aquarium even if all of the equipment, fish and coral were free...

I got into pipe smoking when I was in my early 20s. I don't regret trying it and having a pipe or two or three. But I definitely went overboard and probably have 10+. Now they just collect dust. It's a pain in the ass to keep up with. But I do know a lot about tobacco, though.

Yeah and they might be the worst thing to move if you ever sell your house. Would move a washer and fridge 50x before I move a saltwater aquarium. Had a small like 35 gallon saltwater tank. Had like 5 smaller fish, a starfish thing (the one that crawls around with the little arms on it forgot what it’s called) and some coral. That was when I lived with my parents then I got a job over 2 hours away and didn’t want to burden my parents with taking care of it so I gave them to my girlfriends parents.

Lol it's all good man. Some people just buy them to hang on walls, or don't even know why they have vinyls, they just buy them because.

I found a really old copy of The Wiz soundtrack on vinyl and I'm trying to figure out whose signature is on it. Might be valuable, idk

It really does bum me out that I dont really have any hardcore hobbies.

I do actually envy nerds when it comes to their hobbies. They are so passionate about what they like and get so much enjoyment out of what they like.

Might be. Then it's trying to find somebody who see's the value, etc.

I've got a rare bootleg of Metallica's first gig in my city that I got for ~ $100 many years ago - really unique cover and inserts, rare yellow vinyl which 100 copies were made.. Was offered $1,000 for it a while ago and didn't take it, lol wish I did.
