I enjoyed the movie, thought it was pretty good. Definitely not for everyone, slow ambiguous sci-fi.

White man's fault!!! ALL THE THINGS!!!
I am really sick of hearing that. It's why I don't anymore about anyone's perceived slights against them.
"Oh its the white man's fault your movie was a terrible?" Good, **** em

Lmao what a bunch of *******s. If PAINFULLY obvious their agenda, I mean even the morons who eat this chit up must see this.
Take a classic movie, remake it (how original) and throw in an all female cast, women are equal/funny!!
I mean it's literally the laziest approach to what their agenda is. I think they would be MUCH more successful making a new IP with an all female cast, yes it doesn't have the former movie to lean on but if the plot/story/hook is interesting enough it would be far better than doing this clearly bullchit approach they've been pushing the past few years.
Even with today's political climate alot more people would go see that movie and have a greater chance of liking it if they just focused on making an all female cast movie with an ORIGINAL plot than just talking classics and using their success to push an agenda.

Yawn, same old BS.
Sup par female actresses remake a solid movie that was previously all male, movie flops and they blame gender equality/men/privelege etc. Stfu already.

Feminist, when will they ever learn?
You would think that Ghostbusters would have been a lesson, but they just used the cope from GB and copy-pasted it.
Charlie's Angles has always done well. By feminist logic, if you made a all male cast Charlie's Angles, it would go down as the highest rated movie ever.... wonder why nobody does it?

let's not pretend this doesn't stem from insecurity about power structures becoming less white male dominated, i mean movie was written off before it was given a chance cuz you guys babyraged over the beautifully empowering diversity of an all female cast so they're not wrong tbh

Also, I really don't get all this blah blah feminist, or whatever social thing is going on.
This is just pure idiotic lazy execs in Hollywood. Now it's getting blown into some political/social thing. Hollywood execs literally are so lazy, they just want to keep using the same formula, and just change up the race/sex of the actors and easily target/sell different markets with ZERO work on their part.

Movie sucks because its not original and is just done for political purposes only not even for entertainment purposes.

I'd just like to point out that a while back, melissa mccarthy, a whale, made a comedy movie called Spy which had a mostly female cast. Movie got a 95% because it was actually hilarious. I hate sloots and feminism, and even I thought it was hilarious. So any accusation of prejudice is pretty ill founded imo. They did the same with Solo and TLJ. They won't admit their movie just sucks dick.

Hollywood is completely out of touch with the general population, and it should come to terms with this. Nobody cares about their SJW dribble and nobody is entertained by politically motivated dogchit movies.

Olivia Milch is the co-writer of "Ocean's 8" and a producer on the film, the latest in the "Ocean's" series, which features an all-women, all star cast.
Olivia Milch: The hope is that we get to a place where there's just a lot of movies being made with female protagonists and female voices.
Milch: I'm always going to be happy when people are talking about feminism — if it's a corporation or you know the young woman on the street corner selling lemonade. I mean I'll take it. I think one potential antidote to the fear that it's being co-opted in some kind of way or the work is being missed is, to look at the people who've been doing the work for a long time and I think that tends to be women of color and the queer community and people who have been at the forefront of these fights for rights. So that's the time when you kind of try to — how do I serve those voices? How do I give those voices a platform, how do I hold the door open for those people when I've been fortunate enough to get into position where we're getting to tell the story on a really big platform and really big scale. I think that's one of the incredible things about our cast and our crew, is that they've been really aware of how potent and powerful representation is in it of itself.
O'Leary: When you created "Dude," tell me if I'm right here, 50 percent people of color in the cast 50 percent women on the crew.
Milch: That was our intention. And I think that when you get a little bit of control, a little bit of power, you want to put your money where your mouth — is you want to try to live your values. Also because you know that it will make the work better. You know, "Dude" is a better movie because it looks like the real world.

why are most film critics, not like they have any power, mainly white males? Considering, when u go to the movies, esp in cal, ny, fl, etc. - they make a minority of the movie goers. It's like asians reviewing black movies.
