I could see why some of the boys took him for snobby. He had a quiet way about him, a walk and a talk that just wasn't normal around here. He strolled, like a man in a park without a care or a worry in the world, like he had on an invisible coat that would shield him from this place. Yeah, I think it would be fair to say...I liked Andy from the start.

You'll need subs tho cuz it's a french movie. Which'll eliminate 99% of you. But if anyone watches this one despite it, you won't be disappointed and I've changed the world for the better.

Good luck!

This was my favourite movie when I was around 15. Watching it now, it is cheesy as hell and kinda dumb in parts, but STILL a helluva watch.

I do love the brief conversation between Commander Anderson and General Hummel in the old shower block

"We all have shipmates we remember..some of them were chit on and pizzed on by the Pentagon, but that doesn't give you the right to mutiny!!"

-------

For me, its hard to chose one. LOTR trilogy (as one long movie) may be all time no. 1. Also Braveheart was my favourite for many years.

Worthy mentions

The Dark Knight
Brotherhood of the Wolf
American History X
Cook the man some eggs!

Watched this a few years back and it was one of the best I've seen.

My 2 cents that I haven't seen mentioned yet

Once Upon a Time in America
Good Will Hunting
No Country for Old Men
Gone Girl

Never ever watch Hunt. I have never raged so hard at a fuking movie.

Terminator 2 or The Matrix or Platoon

Terminator 2 is the only movie I have seen more than 5 times. Runners up would be:

Apocalypse Now. just the pure scale of that movie was insane, legit looked like real Vietnam war footage.
Jurassic Park. Again the practical effects were ahead of their time.

Boring answer but Godfather 1/2 are literally the best. Sounds ghey but as a complete series Harry Potter is probably the best, but the individual films aren’t on their own.
