I find it hard to believe that whatever small town you live in, that it somehow has a better night life than a major metropolitan city or better job opportunities in Tech and the Sciences.

This. LA is about as non-pretentious as it gets. You literally have celebs and ceo/10k/days slumming it aorund regular folk everyday. Fame/Money is everywhere, no one is blinded by that sh!t here.

mostly at the clubs, my buddy manages talent up there so once in a while ill go visit him for the weekend and well head out.

not only pretentious but its basically instagram sloot central. I love ditzy chicks, they are fun, but these chicks basically judge you on your instagram following. conversations about "omg i know this ____ person" etc, its weird.

thats my experience, though. I live in san diego, 100% more chill with same amount of HBBs

So fun. I live literally a baseball throw away (maybe 2) from all the main st. bars. Not sure when the last time you came out was but the new Pacific City has made the crowd 100x better too, like a mix of Newport and Main St.

If you get bored in Huntington I don't even.... night life is 10/10 for a beach city, good restaraunts, the mother fukin beach, lots of city parks, events, nice movie theater shopping center for high school kids, 30 minutes from some great hikes and other outdoor stuff, about an hour from the mountains.

Newport people are just a little wealthier and so you get a different crowd, still fun though and plenty of people come into Newport so it's not really as much of an issue with the night life, just prepare to be cucked by dudes who make high end 6 figures stealing girls at the bars and taking them to their beach house in their lambo.

Never met anyone from those bands, don't know who they are anyways. Dennis Rodman is around a lot. Random reality TV people and B-C listers are fairly common. Kobe goes to Chronic Tacos a lot in Newport.

TBH if you never grew up and were raised in LA then you understanding it is foreign. You gotta live it and be born in it to actually understand why it's the goat of all places to live. 90's early - 2000's in LA = Extremely LIT nigkas will never understand it and it's like it's in you to be a gangbanger or else you do other like school or something but it's gotta be legit and respected iv'e lost so many homies to gun crimes in LA.

it's almost like some people are content being able to have their own space, easily visit nature, walk to work in 5 minutes passing people you know and who care about you, and don't need to be crammed in a dirty urban space full of narcissistic socialites 'working' their asses off to acquire material bullchit in order to find external validation from the vapid community they inhabit.
