Sometimes it sucks, sometimes it's cool.

The whole telling the other person about yourself and listening to them when you meet multiple people gets old. You gotta learn their habits, them learn yours, etc.

Aye man....that sh** is work.

I fkd up and got married entirely too young and spent 8years of my life miserable... then suddenly found myself divorced and single at 29yo... and spent 5 glorious years single... I found out pretty quick that the actual act of dating at that age fkn sucked....mainly because any women my age that were worth a $hit were taken...

So my options were to either go young which was a blast to the ego to smash but literally couldn't stand talking to them for more than 5min otherwise. Any bish under 22 just doesn't have real world problems and we wont get along unless she is reverse cowgirl....

Or weed through all the decent looking sloots 25+ that are damaged goods... kind of like sifting through the clearance rack @ Walmart... you might find something you want to try on but nothing worth keeping.

Then there was the 40+ sloots... to be honest they were my favorite as I generally plucked them out of the gym... in great shape... had their own money... didn't want a relationship.. just wanted the dick... and wouldn't blow you up with meaningless BS.. when they were ready they would send out the sloot signal.

So to really cliff note this. I didn't really "date" I just ran from smash to smash until I found what I wanted....which consequently was in the >25 category...concentrated on getting her education and establishing a career before she thought about getting serious with anybody... I just got lucky and was in the right place at the right time.

I'm going to go live in the woods in quiet solitude if I wind up middle aged and single. I know lots of guys say this, but I'm srs.

I don't have it in me to do the whole dating and relationship dance again. Social media, her family and annoying sloot friends, constantly competing with our peer groups, the no marriage battle, chads hitting her up literally 24/7, and on and on. I'd just end up frustrated and ill tempered.

It was weird at first because I hadn't dated or flirted for over a decade. But I got over that quick.

It's different because a lot of the excitement isn't like it was when I was young, and also because at my age, I am who I am and the women I date are who they are - when I was younger I felt like I was still becoming who I would eventually be - so I guess that aspect of the bonding where you feel like you have the opportunity to grow with a partner is gone at this stage.

Most of the women I've dated have been single never married, no kids, and I generally date women younger than me, but within 10 years on my age.

The woman I'm currently seeing is the first mother I've hit it off with, but her daughter is still a toddler.

what else are you looking to know bro?

I was very clear with each and every one of them what the deal was. I went into it with the mindset that I was going to be 100% honest and let the chips fall where they may. What I found refreshing was each girl's ability to handle the truth.

I think you nailed it with the "real world problems" part. I was actually able to find a 21 year old that I related very well with. She had tons of real world problems she'd been dealing with for a lot of her life. After dating her, it was like a light bulb moment as to why I could relate so well to her but couldn't relate to the suburb chicks who are in college living off of daddy's money. They simply don't have any real world experience. Its cool for brief interactions and putting them in the smash rotation, but I couldn't spend any real time with them...not on the level I wanted to.

Yeah, I'd like to have more kids, and if I can find someone to start a family with, or continue a family with, I'd totally get remarried and give it 100%.

Outside of that it seems like I'd have to give up too much freedom to get married or even live with someone. Who knows, maybe in the future when I feel like I'm too old to give a family another shot I'll change my mind and settle for companionship, but I'm not there yet, and I could always get a dog for companionship...

Speaking as a happily married guy in his late 30s that went through pretty much every trial and tribulation in other relationships leading to this one: if this marriage doesn't work out I willneverre-marry. And it'd take me a very long time to open up again enough to someone else to even consider it a 'relationship'. I have posted like this before and been told by others that I'd 'get over it', but I know myself enough by now.

In all likelihood if my marriage were to fall apart I'd go back to what I was doing before: rampaging through and drowning myself in a sea of meaningless sex.

I feel the exact same way. I would never remarry and likely never entertain a serious, long term relationship again.

I can't even see myself engaging in a bunch of meaningless sex as that's largely unfulfilling as well although my heightened urges in the name of supplements might override my better judgement.

I dunno, doesn't seentoodepressing. You always hear divorce sucks in relation to kids or the dead relationship, but not as much about dating afterward.

I figured the misc divorcees would have no problem going on smashing sprees. The miscers that actually talk to women tend do well in that regard.

I'm gonna hazard a guess here and say this depends on your current ain't-nothing-like-new-newness:too-lazy-to-tolerate-'em-and-their-issues-for-a-shot-at-the-newness ratio.

That's a ratio that'll fluctuate more than you'd think it should.
