Ive seen videos of my area and a bear being shot 10 times and not stopping by a 9mm.
OP why were they walking in grizzly territory without any kind of weapon? I'd take a deser eagle camping if I lived there

Shotgun......
I have read up on bears targeting humans during normal hibernation times are old bears that struggled to get food for hibernation and were roaming. Anything that moves is fair game and looks like it found some.
That dude and his GF who got eaten were victims of such behaviour. Theres a video recording their screams.

That's awful OP. We've had a several attacks this year too.
We're really starting to have a grizzly problem down here. The same loonies that caused the California wild fires are shutting down grizzly hunts. When you can see 5 or 6 grizzlies running around in a farmer's field from off the highway you know their numbers are too high.

I think a plant operator in ft McMurray was attacked and killed by a large black bear a few years back
Sounds insane for us first world folk, killed by a bear.

That's a terrible way to die, and the poor husband. RIP
I don't understand why everyone doesn't carry bear spray, AK47 or something when in bear country. You hear these stories all the time.
Is it a case of people becoming comfortable with them around?
I'd make sure my wife always went out with some type of bear maiming weapon and be good at using it.

What happens now? Are they going to track and take the Bear out? It has gotten a taste for human blood now and doubt it'll stop hunting people.
