I was in a high school relationship that turned into an adult relationship as we got older.

^^True. But a chit ton of that is upbringing dependent. My old man was pretty autistic around women and my parents in general chit the bed on alpha'ing me up. Meh. I had teen love. It was great but so is love in your 20s, 30s, and beyond.

The majority of the things listed in the OP are just differences associated with been a teenager vs. growing old in general - bills, rent, needing to work for a living, etc. They are not linked to teen love specifically.
