Rich and successful people have problems, too. In fact, the incidence of depression and anxiety, along with a host of other mental disorders, is probably higher among these people than it is among the general population. There is extreme pressure, and it's hard having that much responsibility. Couple that with unlimited funds and some shady characters around you, and you can easily fall into a drug dependency without even realizing it.

Are you really this stupid, or was this question rhetorical? It's blatantly obvious why people feel sorry for those in the spotlight.

It's a rhetorical question highlighting how dumb and goofy some of you are for feeling sorry for a millionaire who decided to act like an idiot and ruin his life.

So being a millionaire all of a sudden means you're immune from mental and physical health issues? Or the difficulties of life?

You can't evaluate everything in terms of money.

He's now taking complete credit for Novak (one of his best friends) getting sober. Sounds like jealousy that Bam can't get clean himself so he's projecting it on Novak. Sad!

Yeah it's cool he never left Philly. He stayed with his brother original friends from CKY despite LA being the skate capital of the world. Sucks to see him like this. He was in recovery for a while and I think he was even filming little parts trying to get back into it. I guess when you're surrounded by degenerates your whole life you fall into it and it's hard to stay clean if your friends don't. He better get back on track though, for his kid.

some good old nostalgia

Mental illness.

Depression, Bipolar, Schizophrenia, Anxiety, Borderline.....none of them care about how much money you have or that you are on TV.

Thankfully many folks can manage it with meds and therapy. Unfortunately, many folks cannot manage it.

Dudes IG right now is painting one very fukking sad picture of how he views sobriety. Throwing his sober friend under the bus basically for getting clean. He's writing all this chit outing the crap Novak did when he was on drugs.

Fukking pathetic.

As someone who skated for a decade I laughed when you said it was tough physical work. Dudes it's fun, not work.

As someone who has done hard work and hard physical work to compare it is a joke.

Stop slobbing, it's disgusting.

empathy, compassion, all relatively useless words. Neither will ever help a person rise above, only makes them realize they are beneath you and deserving of your empathy and compassion.

i think it's because we are taught that if you are rich, successful, famous, and people love you, then you will be happy. The people that have all of these things realize that they are not happy because true happiness and contentment come from deep within....not from outside sources.

The drugs and alcohol help ease the pain of the mind-fck

For sure. I'm not saying you can just buy away all your problems and I'm sure there's a flip side to that sort of life that us plebs will never be able to fully understand. I just think that a lack of perspective on what regular people need to do to get by doesn't help them. Like you could have all of these personal problems PLUS have to worry about being downsized out of a job, rising cost of living and every other money related problem as well.

idk if you've ever been in a **** place in life and drank way to much to where it started very much impacting your life/relationships/job. If you have, imagine doing this while having a near infinite supply of money (so you don't need a job and can buy as much alcohol/drugs as you want forever), a near infinite supply of friends (they're fake but drunk you won't care), and being used to doing whatever you want forever.

Most people wake up when they hit rock bottom because they lose a job, lose a gf/wife, etc... but these guys don't have those restrictions, so developing a substance habit is very dangerous.
