Anything that is in the Central Time Zone, except for parts of Texas, plus Florida, Michigan, Indiana and Ohio.

I lived in LA for 6 months.

The novelty wore off after 2 weeks.

The only redeeming quality is the weather and ethnic food — and if you’re into their food that much, hell, you might as well go all the way, the women aren’t that bad either.

But that’s it.

I live in wyoming and love it here. Mountains are beautiful and the hunting and snowboarding is some of the best in the country. Ive lived in indiana and that is a boring state, corn and soybean fields. I think kansas or nebraska would be the worse states though. An aussie friend spent over a year here and loved wyoming.

I would hate living in CA. Too many taxes and bullchit. The only other state I can see myself living in would be Georgia and it would have to be in Savannah.

though i'm sure there many redeeming qualities for some of these states, like the nature/exploration aspect of the mountains, lakes, etc. and i'm sure many are even vital for the US economy, but wtf man... i'd never live in any of those states unless i was getting paid millions - surrounded by rednecks, hillbillys and trashy people everywhere you go, years behind in terms of technology and innovative culture (including the passing of reasonable laws and, like the decriminalization of mj), no real city life, and nothing too great about the sight-seeing besides well-known historical sites/monuments and shizzz.. not worth it to me when the weather SUCKS.

Virginia is a nice state.
New Mexico is tolerable in Albuquerque.
Iowa and Vermont are ok.

California’s issues run way deeper than that. It wasn’t rated as having the worst quality of life for no reason, or because some conservabros thought it would be a funny way to “own the libs.”

No. It’s because the social and wealth stratification make you feel like you’re in god damn South America. Greater LA has the worst income disparity in the entire country. It’s overrun with people who have no desire to assimilate, nor any sense of community outside their immediate family/enclave. It’s trash. Literally and figuratively. In so many ways.

If you’re one of these Asian trust fund babies who inherited some family assets and went to UCI, you’re good. If you’re not, you’re not. The middle class is leaving.

Maybe I shouldn't neg so many levels you but dang man... So many hidden gem states. There is more out there than NYC and Cali :/ so many beautiful places. Iowa, Dakota's, Wyoming, Arkansas, Florida, Idaho, Montana are all amazing. Mississippi has some great places.
