the more i look into this the more stuff i find.
that leaked police report that seems to be said to be from a credible unnamed source.

New article from the Sunday Times seems to corroborate that the leak from RTE was legit, very interesting.

No offense, but you don't have any idea how American media works. They crucify people based on rumors on a regular basis. That's why I see no smoke to this story, because our media would be eating it alive if there were a hint of truth to it.

just a guess but im willing to bet they are locked and loaded and just waiting for his name to released. the second they mention his name in the official police statement they will be all over it being prepared for weeks in advanced. they dont want to jump the gun based on a picture on the internet as their only source. ive read if they do they can be sued. but theyve all heard and seen enough for them and they are ready for it all.

I'd not be surprised if this was some elaborate blackmail attempt on Conor which worked, he paid and it was all hushed up.
High profile people like him with lots of money have been targeted before and made to pay up one way or another.
Guaranteed he's already been targeted somehow by Irish (for want of a better word) "criminals".

But if he did, we are still talking about a worldwide star. Whether he is more famous than the two you mentioned is arguable. I doubt people outside of America knew about Al Gore. People will forgive and forget eventually, especially if Conor can become a winner again and build up his image and be on his best behaviour, or at least give the illusion of it. Or he will just fade away in general having completely lost all of his mystique.

I think the difference in kobe's case vs cm other than what you mentioned before but i think it will be different because Kobe was loved by the majority of people. even if you hated the lakers and hated to watch him destroy your team you still admired him in some sort of way or another. I doubt anyone wished kobe was dead like how they do now with conor even before his name was mentioned in this case.
People legit hated him before this happened. unless the woman admits to making everything up and her motive was money, they will break the internet with their comments till the day he dies.

I will google him now for sure and Iโm sure youโre from the same country as the guy, but I think McGregory is more internationally famous than that and probably would rock sporting media hard if his raped someone.

My entire argument is that if there was any reason to believe the rumors were substantial and that Conor was in any real trouble, the American media (and in particular the American MMA media) would have at least addressed it. Since they haven't, I have to assume that it's just outright bogus or that he was questioned and released and that's that.
And every minute that passes with no leaks or legitimate American reporter even mentioning it strengthens my opinion on the matter.

From what ive read on the sherdog forum when i questioned that is its against the law to release the name of the accused only until the trial is over and theres a guilty conviction.

you asked on why american media hasent reported it yet right?
cos the only thing they can report is about the crime and not the names until trail is over and found guilty. they are granted that right and its highly important to their court system. the government i guess can sue or press criminal charges if they say his name.

You're an American and this is media that we are partaking in.
You are currently reporting that Conor McGregor is linked to a rape in Ireland via a form of media. So why hasn't the Irish police showed up to your doorstep yet?
Guess what? You are not subject to Ireland's laws.
