Red-I have a feeling that I’m going to be bored by it..but we will see
Rich- id much rather watch movies and shows that I’ve already seen and love. I barely watch anything new. Just the office and parks and rec on repeat for the rest of my life.

Lasted 20 minutes into the first episode, found it incredibly lame. Different strokes. Some say they couldn’t get into The Wire or The Soprano’s, whereas I think they’re spectacular. C’est la vie.

What’s it about? Taking place thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones, the series chronicles the world’s descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. From the horrifying secrets of Westeros’s history to the true origin of the White Walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend, only one thing is for sure: It’s not the story we think we know.

I had to get past the first 3 or so episodes to get into it.
Tbh, they all look alike until their characters develop more. I mean serious, half the cast are dark haired Caucasians with a beard and they all look alike. noracist
It gets better as people start dying off, less characters to follow.
Its nothing like the hobbit, its more like a soap opera but set in medieval times.

I know a number of people who refused to watch it because they do didn't like the fantasy genre and found the Lord of the Rings films nothing but tedious. But when they watched it they loved it.
I would say the early seasons it's more like a medieval drama as there's little to no dragons, magic etc. It's all political intrigue and a power struggle between several major families for the throne and by the time the dragons, white walkers and magic becomes more prevalent in the show you're all ready too heavily invested in the characters.
I do know some people who still don't like it. They found it hard to follow as it has so many characters and story lines and too hard to get into because of this. But it's a show that's worth a shot watching, because if you do like it, you end up loving it.

Never thought I would like it and constantly kept putting it off before my GF convinced me to watch it. Hated the first couple episodes and thought it was boring until about episode 4-5, then I started to get interested.. And man I went on a binge watch of all the episodes/seasons after that lol. Got hooked AF, such a great show.
