The brits deserve more credit for giving the world basically everything worthwhile.

Well done you defeated the brits on your own patch with the help of the very powerful french army whilst the brits were also engaged in numourous conflicts across the globe involving other super powers.

England lost out on trillions of dollars of resources since losing the us. All over not adding a couple of delegates in parliament (remember, it wasn't the taxes that we revolted over, it was that we were being taxed without a voice in parliament). I'm sure England was kicking itself for a long time after they lost.

Knew it'd be that movie. I was actually slightly annoyed the way the English Captain died because it was so stupid. Braveheart I was fine with and one of my favourite films. Mel did a good job of making the English look despicable.

Its basically a case of fratricide for me.It seems basically Brits versus Brits for an outsider like me ? What percentage of the population from those 13 colonies were not immigrants from the UK? I mean how many Germans or Scandinavians were in those 13 colonies and fighting against the Brits? I am not sure but a large portion of the German and Scandinavians migrated to the USA after the war of independence.

I would really like to know the demographic make up of the 13 colonies at that time.
