Of course you can make your clavicles look wider if you put a lot of muscle on your delts, for example.
Or you can make your hips look bigger if you put on a lot of abdominal muscle.
The growth plates are only in your long bones, not your face. Your skull changes shape throughout your entire life.

I don't know maybe it's from getting older, maybe weight lifting but i have never been fat yet adding a bit of muscle to my frame has made my face appear more angular.

I've seen this in professional footballers too
take a look:










I know people will say 'oh they just go older' but i feel like weight lifting has changed thier face compared to if they didn't
