Gonna be pretty hard to do that without spoilers lol.

I dont think endgame is trash but it definitely isn't close to Infinity War. I'm not sure how to say it without spoilers.

For me it has to do with 2 particular things:

The ending scene and the character motivation behind that choice
The writing regarding the huge plot point and lack of explanation

Hm....okay, lol I'm going to go into it optimistically cautious then.

At 3 hours long do you think it used that time properly or did it drag in some parts? Also if it's not as good as IW where would you place it among your top 5 marvel films?

The 3 hours goes by pretty fast tbh.. the first 15 minutes is a bit slow though.. I still dont know where i'd rate this movie. There's just too much to digest I think.. Essentially alot about this movie reverts certain things from Thor ragnarok and civil war too. In regards to the characters of thor/cap

Just feels clunky and a whole lot of nothing happening for a while. What happens at the start of the movie feels super weak and then how they decide to “fix things” seems very rushed. I liked the battle scenes but there weren’t as many as IW.

Infinity War felt like a real story, Endgame felt really rushed just trying to find a way to get to the good bit.

They also *really* pushed the comedy angle in this one. In some instances it worked and was funny but they really over did it

Ill give it a rewatch on the weekend though. Not saying its “bad” just didnt do it for me as much. There were some cool moments though

GREAT MOVIE!

First hour- kinda slow but sets up tie story.
2nd hour- fan service and lulzy.

I'm hearing one sweeping complaint across the boards from reddit to 4chan..... not enough nudity.

Shame. They could have rocked this one out of the park. Thought we would get some nudes after they filmed the Thanos nudity then scraped it for IW.

Oh well.

After giving it enough thought, I still think Endgame is a GREAT movie. Not as action packed as IW, it is a more story, humor, fan-service, epicness and heart. Gf loved it but also hated it. You will really enjoy it if you followed MCU movies, otherwise, still good but it wont have the same impact.

Things I like(spoiler tag on others)
Story is typical Marvel movie - humor with action, but this time, with a sense of dread. Not as dark as IW though.
Very emotional on different scenes.
Cameos
Spoiler!

Bloatmax Thor
Cap's battle with Thanos
Grey Hulk
Focus on main Avengers, though this can be disappointing for fans of the other characters- Strange, Parker, T'Challa, GotG, etc.
Thanos is an alpha villain!

Are there SJW themes? Not really. Nothing you have not seen in the comics for many years/decades. But there is one scene that worries me. SPOILER TAGGED-Spoiler!
The funeral- everyone was there, even the kid from IM3. At the back was Carol Danvers. But she was standing on top/center of the stairs. Maybe the anti-SJW in me is just giving it too much meaning, but it might mean from here on out, she is the main focus.

3 hours did not feel that long. But no end credit scene.

3 hours went by really quick. There was clapping, laughter, tears shed, manly hugs and high fives.

Spoiler!

Almost shed a tear when the portals opened and everyone came out. I'm a very casual fan but something in that scene was so emotional.

Oh yeah, i'm well aware of it. I've been holding off on GoT so I can marathon it all in one shot, but every monday in the break room all I hear are people talking about what happened on the latest episode. So I have to eat in my car, lol.

Great movie, I’d probably give it a 9.5/10. I might need to watch it a 2nd time in theaters to fully digest everything.

Only part I didn’t like was the SJW women scene in the end, plus making Captain Marvel look stronger than Thor

That's what I thought too.

Spoiler!

I actually really enjoyed the movie, probably as good as Infinity War for me and I feel this movie really paid homage to the entire MCU universe thus far from Iron Man 1 until now. Tied it off in a really emotional yet exhilarating way.

Was it perfect? Absolutely not. I felt the humor/jokes were too much at times and some parts it didn't flow as good as I'd have hoped.

The SJW scene that is rustling people is hilarious, I thought nothing by it at all. Sure, it was a bit corny but it's nothing we haven't been seeing for years now and I'm sure if it was a bunch of dudes doing it, would be no problem.

Infinity War is the better movie because the concept of its movie took more risks. End Game is still fantastic but its just....a "different" movie in terms of overall theme and pacing

The "SJW scene" wasn't bad it was just kinda cringey because it was so forced. They kinda just plopped it in front of the audience because they wanted you to know what they were doing, otherwise I can forgive it

One thing that REALLY pissed me off though
Spoiler!
Hulk didn't get his rematch god dammit, in fact he didn't do much at all in terms of fighting.

BTW

Yeah, the few here who are saying it was "meh" or outright bad or boring are the people who, up to this point, have probably only seen a couple marvel films in the past 10 years, and even if you recently played "catch-up" on some of those films you won't feel the same connection with the characters as someone who has been following them for the timespan ofLITERALLYa decade.

If you were an 8 year old when you watched the First Iron Man you'd be 18 now watching End Game. That 18 year old will have a much stronger connection with the characters and lore and chit than someone who's just waltzs into the theater and then complains because they feel no emotion over scenes that are suppose to be emotional.

On a different note:
Spoiler!
I'm kinda bummed they killed off Thanos because his character....at least his Infinity War persona....had so much potential to be a an awesome anti-hero, who would perhaps make the occasional cameo in future movies. However, they changed his personality to more of a generic villain for this movie which was kinda annoying but it therefore gave justification for killing him off.
