I really enjoyed it. It isn't like watchmen at all. It's more of a parody of the justice league/superfriends cartoon. Except the justice league are either annoying *******s or outright sadistic killers. And Lex Luthor aka Billy Bishop is the "good" guy. It's a spoof but not done as comedy. They play it straight just with outlandish violence.

I think it's a pretty good take on how superhuman would be in today's society. Focused on themselves and their brand and image, not really caring about people all that much. Basically superhero degenerates. I like how homeland is starting to lose his respect for humanity given that he has the powers of a god

It had a bunch of potential but they absolutely killed it with garbage CGI, awful acting and an entire plot built around politics/feminism...

The female captain has single handedly beat up half the crew and killed the old alpha male captain that wouldnt submit to her....WHILE her cuck husband that is a scientist stayed at home and is watching the kids. He literally carries a man purse at ALL times. Her kid, a girl, is man handling the cuck husband because "girl power".....Its legitimately awful. Every other line is about womens power or climate change

...and this is just two episodes in...

She was God awful replacement for Dirk Benedict as Starbuck. Totally ruined that character.

One of the worst shows I've seen. I watched the entire season, because I wanted to feel justified in my hatred


Some highlights:

I mean, the main character has to friend zone the ship's A.I......f**king uwotm8?


one of the male characters loses his virginity in a MFM situation, which ends up leading to an abortion discussion (of course she gets pregnant)

Main character's husband is left caring for her (he's not the biological father) child while she goes to space for years

the writers of this show missed the point of sci fi completely, and wrote a garbage SJW'ers go to space thing



zero nudity, which is a shame because one of the female characters has fantasic t*ts, which is really the biggest sin of all

I'm wrapping up ep4 here, previously when I posted earlier today I had only 3 in, it seems to get better. Not that it was bad, but I feel more hooked now. Only 8 episodes total this season? More of a slow burn then. Fuking Homelander, that guy is something.

Maybe, I mean its got a lot going for it: dark humor, Karl Urbain just chews up every scene he's in, crazy concept, its just a little slow to start. Just finished. I'm absolutely blown away. It was such a great story. The homeland character(Banshee tv show sheriff) played the role perfect.
This is sweet. Camera crews are setting up, and I'm lookin' totally ripped. Beefcake. Beefcake.

I was hooked on The Boys almost immediately, but I still haven't managed to finish the first episode of Umbrella Academy lol.

I binged umbrella academy in a single day while watching over one of my girls in the hospital (she's fine). I loved the atmosphere but man... Almost NOTHING happens. At least in S1.

He isn’t losing respect for humanity, he never had it. He’s a psychopath because he was created in a lab and had no family to raise him.

This was a very subversive and dark show. But most of their targets for subversion are such common targets (oh look a Christian character is actually a homosexual) that it was eye rolling at times.

But I liked the parallel between Billy Butcher and Huey’s characters and how a love story in the midst of the dark stuff caused the divergence of their paths.

I tried to watch the Umbrella Academy and turned it off when they started dancing in the house in the first ep. Just too much cringe for me.

I think Homelander is more sociopath than outright psycho. He doesn't go out of his way to torture/maim people without cause... and he actually does TRY to do his job the best way he can... he just lacks empathy overall when it comes to anyone who isn't part of the Seven.

My understanding is that psychopaths don’t have a conscience but maybe I’m confusing the terms. The only person he really seems to care about is himself. Hence, threatening The Deep, and the light girl, the super powered terrorists, etc.

Huey is a beta male protagonist that the average comic nerd is supposed to associate with. Obviously more alpha males will gravitate toward Butcher but there's a lot less of us than there are them. The show is set up to be from a nerdy hero perspective. Although it is comical a young dwight shrute is pulling that kind of ass. Both girls were way out of his radio shack working league!

He's not a psychopath. The kid from BrightBurn was a psychopath. I'd say he's more of a sociopath.

Strong unpredictable character makes it fun to watch

I binged it over the weekend, I enjoyed it. Great fresh take on Superheroes, and some dark humor mixed in. LOL @ The Deep being a miscer.

Not familiar with the comic at all but can't see a better resolution than this had with a cocky dude in that role. She is perfect for homelander's character arc.
