My ex wife (who used to throw physical objects at me and smash up all my possessions and have conversations like that one every day, etc etc) was really big on threatening suicide and faking suicides. It was always the nuclear option to stop me leaving.

I’ll add, not only do they not acknowledge that they were wrong, but they also;

1) Get mad that you’re mad. So the conversation isn’t about their wrongdoing, it’s about getting you on the defensive for getting upset about whatever it is they did wrong.

2) They turn it into an issue of however you found out. You suspected she was cheating and looked at her phone? How dare you invade her privacy. You thought she was cheating and talked to mutual friends? How dare you make public a private matter. Forget that your intuition was correct, thus justifying your distrust. Forget she was doing something wrong. Let’s instead focus on how you wronged her in finding out.

Actually you do have a good point he knows he is recording so ofcourse he is gonna make it like he is on his best behavior. I mean he is not gonna blow up and say stupid **** when he knows he is recording.

Yep 100% dude.

Had that kind of experience when i made some connections on my ex's Instagram and figured she was cheating. Not once did she say sorry or anything and it was about me being a 'creep' and a 'stalker' just lol, nor did she even acknowledge what she did.
Really rustles my jimmies how someone can get away with doing something so wrong and yet view themselves as the victim.
