I grow tomatoes, potatoes, blueberries, currants, some herbs, blackcurrant sage, onions, raspberries. Pretty much anything I can get my hands on. Scotland's weather is the best in the world for soft fruit like berries.

It actually took a while with a lot of learning from the old guys in the area. It's a pursuit of a thousand tiny details. How to train the plants growth for most sun, awareness of the sun, the different things that can provide nutrients, like powderised egg shells for calcium hungry plants. Making a worm casting bin too. Awareness of the different variety of plants. I'm from Scotland and in the summer we get 21 hours of daylight but a very very short season so you need to right varieties.

One amazing thing is root air pruning. Or using insect frass (poop and shells) as fertilizer. The plant senses a protein from insect shells called Chitin and assumes that it is under attack and boosts it's own immune system. Bacteria that likes to eat the chitin is also attracted by it and insects are instinctively repelled by odor of this bacteria because it attacks their exoskeletons.

Agriculture is a vast topic that took us thousands of years to get right and I'm still always learning little details. I love it. I'm now at the stage where I'm good so I'm now chasing elite quality. My currants last year were very buttery tasting lol.

I'd say be consistent and don't overload yourself, and grow plants that do well in our area. Keep it at a slow rolling boil. I'm still decades behind the old men I grow with. Sometimes I just like to sit in my garden and take it all in. It's a slow hobby.

I love to sew! I’ve been doing it since I was a little girl. My grandmother was a professional seamstress and I learned from her. My favorite thing to make are pinafore dresses for little girls and Halloween costumes. Some of my best memories as a kid we’re made while sewing with grandma. I love to bake bread and yummy treats. I used to sketch, draw, paint but gave it up more or less after I broke my hand 25 years ago.

Lol yea it can be pretty rage inducing at first, took me forever to learn that its way different than throwing a regular frisbee. Once you get the hang of it its pretty addicting tho, trying to see how far you can throw,curve around trees/objects,etc.

I’m afraid of heights too. It is a rational fear, you can die. Of course, that is one reason I have to do it. There is nothing like it. I love it because it isn’t just a joyride with a view. You have tasks you have to complete and you have to be focused. It is a skill set that takes practice to develop.

ToastMasters is an organization that provides a platform to develop public speaking, leadership, inspiration, and communication skills. There is one near you. I recommend it.

I am an adrenaline junky. I’m a little desensitized. It started with war. I keep chasing it, I get the buzz and it feels like home man. Man I can’t get enough. Maybe one reason I feel in love with T.M. so quickly. Anything stress inducing, I’m there.

That's a lot to take into consideration, I admire you for that, not anybody can pull a sustaining garden like that, my Grandfather had a ranch, he had acres of things on it, I fondly remember helping him plant and pick the produce when it was ready, he did try to teach me about it, but I was too little and none of it stuck, that's the whole reason I tried to make a garden for myself, but the soil I tried it on was mostly sand, and my zucchini and watermelon never sprouted, I'm thinking of doing a raised garden, since we are at a rental property that we cannot plant on anymore, my Mom has several fruit trees and spices growing in her yard that my grandfather planted for her, I want to follow that tradition and have a self sufficient garden where we can eat from our own growth.
