Oh nice! Wish I had that option. I have stuff here but it's not the same as going to the gym. I might feel better about it once my squat stands get here Wed.

That's not too bad. I'm not hoarding and couldn't even if I wanted to because not a big enough fridge/freezer. I really do want to try to keep my eating as normal as possible as eating processed crap makes me feel like chit. So far I have enough meat for two weeks and will be good as long as I can go to Farmers Market next weekend for apples and green beans.

Farmers market sounds great right now. I’m big into farming/sustainability. I’m fine with eating crap temporarily. I’ve lived of MRE’s for months at a time lol you get used to it!

Pre cooked chicken? Intradastin.

Put the potatoes in the oven at 425 for 22 minutes, marinade the chicken in some honey and a bit of soy sauce and smoked parika/paprika, throw the chicken in at 5 minutes to the end to caramelize the honey. Can add broc to the tatos for crunchy broc too.

If you have stock or milk, make a voulette/bechemal/supreme sauce, fry up the 85/15 into meatballs and put some of that sauce on it, serve over noodles.

Can make a nice fresh meal with the dried fruit and chicken depending on the fruit. Dash of oil to the pan and some herbs from a shaker like oregano and parsley and brown some onions, add a splash of water to deglaze the pan, and add the chicken and fruit. It'll rehydrate the fruit and put that good bidness on some rice or serve with tatos.

can PM me for more ideas mang

I have one thing to say.

Fuk China. Their culture of eating the most grotesque foods you can imagine should be globally condemned and I wish death on the people at the wet markets torturing and boiling animals alive.

I'm sick of the panic. Yea, definitely a serious issue but no need to go ape chit crazy and empty grocery stores / guns n ammo places etc.

I'm bummed about bars being closed (i miss that after work beer & shot) but on the other hand I'm saving a ton of money.

1st weekend was boring AF, I know I'm gonna get cabin fever bad before long. My work is still open as of now, so I'm at least getting out of the house during the week.

If you have flour, can make flat bread and shred the chicken on to it with some broc, add a dash of oil and some sauce of your choosing for a heavy and easy meal.

If you don't know how to make flat bread I can teach yah srs. make it like 5 times a week.

I lost my job because of Coronavirus (department shut down). Now I have to decide between sitting this out and collecting unemployment, or moving 1,000 miles away from everything I’ve ever known and loved where there is a potential job opportunity awaiting. I’m also pissed I can’t go to the gym or get pho because the Viet restaurant near me closed. That chit is so good.

Oh and I invested in the stock market for the first time in January. Fuk corona and fuk me lmao.

My group in one of my classes all suck butt. So far I've been lucky in group projects for my classes, but this last class, the team members are so DUMB.

And I have to say, the 2 guys on the team are the laziest. They've put zero effort into our assignments.

I hate group work. I rather do everything myself tbh.

Feeling very anxious and somewhat depressed about career prospects. I was planning to apply to a fulltime MBA program this fall, in order to start in fall 2021. Now with the economy likely crashing, it seems like an impossible ordeal to graduate into a high paying career with a fast progression system. I read about people who graduated from an MBA during the great recession, and the career prospects were dim.

And when the economy recovers, I'll be too old for a fulltime MBA. I feel stuck in my career now.

At least we're moving into a nice house by next mnth, so that's pretty cool and exciting.

Might lift tonight. i think gym is still open for members.

So how are y'all doing?

Edit: I actually feel better after typing that. Nice.
Yeah I heard about that Animal Crossing chit. I think it's a ploy to encourage more Switch Console sales, which is pretty scummy. I might buy it on my next paycheck.

My turn to vent: I'M TIRED OF MY MF'ING PARENTS TRYING TO USE THIS VIRUS AS AN EXCUSE TO KEEP ME IN THE THE FOOKING HOUSE. STOP TRYING TO OPEN MY FUKING MAIL, I'M 24 THE FUK OLD, STAY OUT OF MY BUSINESS. I WANT TO GO GRAB A BEER THEN LET ME FOOKIN DO IT. THIS VIRUS CHIT IS DISRUPTING MY 2020 SUMMER INDEPENDENCE PLAN. I love my folks, but I am so out of there after this is all over. I will still speak to them, but they're going to have to learn to respect my privacy once I have my own place.

Didn't we PM a bit back and forth on this? Apologies if I'm mixed up on that.

This is a solid writeup of what firms took what actions during the Great Recession, both in terms of honoring offers and existing staff.

https://www.reddit.com/r/consulting/...on_consulting/

Cliffs:

The economy has and always will bounce back - you need to have talent ready to capitalize when it does.

Developing people is very expensive, and replacing people even more so - if you let them go, it will take substantial time to rebuild your pipeline.

Each firm's brand is critical to attracting talent - no one wants to be known as the firm that just slashes and burns at the first sign of uncertainty.

I got mine around that time and it's turned out alright for me, and I'm pretty dumb so I'm sure you'll be A-okay.

You fuking idiot. If everyone lives their lives, they can spread the disease faster to at risk people. There's no separating the elderly and their families/those who care for them. They are forced to choose between letting a bunch of people die right away or slowing things down and possibly saving a lot more.

did bother to read what I said, isolate and protect at risk people.
Instead of ruining half of the country financially.

At this point we'll slow the spread but we can't stop it.
