In AZ, nurses are deployed home on furlough making $845 a week on unemployment.

Elective surgery can start again on 5/1 in AZ so many will be called back.

Hospitals are at 40% or less capacity here with only around 5% being COVID-19 patients.

To be honest, most of us don't care about this being compared to a "warzone" or being "heroes". We didn't ask for military comparisons because that's not what most of us signed up for.

We just want the adequate equipment and protections to do our jobs safely.

I'm very surprised hospital administrators nation wide don't have rules banning filming for social media at work. Hospitals are a touchy place for filming and confidentiality to begin with. Additionally, the footage is basically openly admitting employees aren't working.

I don't think its fair to be so black and white, obviously a lot of these individuals are putting their lives at risks to save others but at the same time the sensational twist the media has placed on these "heros" (which btw, many of them claim they are not, rather martyrs) has made people a little bonkers.

People need to really learn what nurses do srs . Don’t get me wrong 40 percent of nurses I would trust by themselves. Other 60 percent are just robots that read questions of a computer screen and take orders from doctors.

Nurses can’t do anything until a dr puts in a order srs not even an IV. Nurses “ Don’t save lives “

Meh, I will say this. I think traumatic stress events are 100% dependent on the person man. We are genuinely not all on the same page 100% mentally and that is okay. You can't expect everyone to be a carnivorous made of steel resilient Ranger. However, when someone clearly milks something for clout & attention such as in the OP, that is not okay and deserves to get roasted.
