It's pretty funny how the narrative is slowly changing. Originally, most were claiming it was a hoax or just a flu. Now, we are seeing people take it seriously, but argue it isn't a threat to them, only the elderly. It really seems like it's all about feelings and not data and models. It's the resistance to change in our population. There's an intense stubbornness to never change. While not all change is good, it's a bit insane. When you look at it, it's almost like the stages of grief played out. Republicans are literally grieving their lost livelihoods. Fuking lol.

I don’t wear a mask anywhere at all, only in places required to get in. I don’t give 2 ****s about it and I pick my nose all the time, touch my face, etc.

Whatever happens will happen.

And for 90% of people it will be no symptoms or flu symptoms. In almost every case of hospitalization the person is old or had other serious health issues

yeah absolutely, no doubt about it. Like there's been absolutely zero evidence to even merely hint at the fact that its real. Every single news outlet in the world is lying

I think the covid-19 is more deadly than the flu, and is serious, yes. Do I think it is deadly as the media /government makes it out to be? No way( unless you have medical issues/80 years old). Healthy people will do just fine.

However, these lockdowns seem to have a political agenda...

I think it is real

From what I understand, China has been extensively researching coronaviruses since 2003 when the SARS outbreak hit their country, as well as other Asian countries. There's a lead virologist in Wuhan by the name of Shi Zhengli who had a team that studied alongside her in a lab in Wuhan. Bats really do carry certain coronaviruses, but apparently there used to be a cross-species barrier that made it difficult for humans to catch such viruses. But in 2010, Shi Zhengli and her team of scientists discovered a key as to how coronaviruses could overcome that cross-species barrier, in order to infect human bodies. And from there she looked further into identifying the capacity for coronavirus transmission across species, specifically looking into the S Protein of the coronaviruses because it apparently would play a role as to how she 'achieved' her findings a little later down the line...in 2013 Shi Zhengli and her team successfully isolated (3) viruses from bats, one of which had an S Protein that integrated with ACE2 receptors. So in 2013, she created a virus that did not need an intermediate host like a bat, for example, to spread to humans. And then finally in 2015, they had published a paper in the British Journal of Medicine, discussing their creation of a synthetic virus, a self-replicating chimeric virus. This virus had the SARS virus as the framework with the key S Protein replaced by the one they had found in a bat coronavirus that she had mentioned in her 2013 paper. And this new synthetic virus demonstrated a powerful ability for cross-species infection. The mice subjected to this virus revealed severe lung damage with no cure. They even planned to, and did eventually, experiment on primates so what does that tell you about their aims with these findings?

If you ask me, this is warfare. The world is at war with this fairly new virus. I believe the Wuhan lab had an accident or an extreme issue, mishandling the virus due to poor regulations and practices most likely. Some scientists caught it, spread it, didn't inform anyone or if they did--Chinese officials decided not to act like a bunch of irresponsible morons, and the rest is history. We're at where we're at, because a scientist or two or more got careless, didn't practice sound regulations to keep themselves safe, got infected, spread to their family and community, and it spread like wildfire throughout China and any other country that travelers to and from China during their outbreak of COVID-19

There are some mistakes you just DO NOT MAKE. This is one of them. Highly irresponsible, imbecilic, clumsy monkey ass scientists in China + highly irresponsible, corrupt officials devoid of human empathy and intelligence really is what lead to this worldwide crisis. This pandemic is 100% traceable to the scientists at the virology lab located in Wuhan and this all could have been avoided if China had competent officials running the country. They did absolutely nothing for months while their people were dropping like flies. As soon as we had citizens testing positive for it in the states and knew something was up we were fairly quick to suspend airlines

Personally I don't know anyone that has it yet, but I definitely do not think this is a hoax. I think it's real, it's here now, and there is no getting rid of it now that it is here. I might have gotten COVID-19. A friend who is a nurse and works around this virus described the exact same symptoms as I had dealt with, a very strange bout of extremely mild soar throat that lasted like half a day or so, a slight fever that wasn't so bad that lasted for a night or two. And that was it. Then I relapsed again after a week, same exact symptoms. Personally, I think I have dealt with a very terrible pnemonia before (without knowing, didn't see a doctor even though I really should have checked in with one) because I was coughing for weeks, thick phlegm greenish yellow, yellow, and even bloody mucous for weeks. Extreme fever, I'm talking shivering my ****ing ass off violently for hours in the night and sweating hard at the same time. Breathing was labored and tough at times, and what really makes me think I had pneumonia is that one evening after like my 2nd, 3rd, maybe even 4th day of battling said flu (luckily I had 3-4 days off that week so I could rest) I felt like I really needed to see a doctor, like something was telling me instinctively that maybe I could die from this because I was having a decent amount of trouble with my upper respiratory really feeling bad in my upper chest that evening. That night or maybe it was the night after, I tried to sleep and couldn't. It was so strange, I that night I was trying my best to sleep but couldn't relax, and I was getting worried because I felt so terrible and restless, and when I had tried to sleep and thought I was sleeping I think it was actually delirium. I might have been partially asleep but my brain was thinking some really ****ed up things that made no sense at all, I can't even describe it but later found out I had experienced what being delirious was and felt like. Also found out that all those were symptoms of pneumonia too, but I had unknowingly and ignorantly thought my body could fight anything and nothing no type of flu could damage me. So maybe that's why I wasn't affected by what I think was likely the COVID-19 virus that my nurse friend and I likely had? Who knows...

Anyway, those are my thoughts, research, and opinions regarding this entire pandemic. I don't think it is a hoax, I just think a lot of Americans are pretty badass and have always taken fairly extreme measures regarding their health and being active, overall living healthy lives so the bulk of us aren't dealing or even seeing much of the worst side. But I do think there a plenty out there suffering and battling for their lives and the lives of their family who are dealing with the virus. Not telling anyone what to think, just sharing what I think happened. And just to be on the safe side, I'm being very, very serious in my approaches towards making sure I don't catch the virus. All that I know, is that much is unknown at the moment, so I'm not taking any risks if I can avoid them. Like I said, if the tracing is accurate, this virus was for and intended to be a means of biological warfare/infectious agent to kill during times of war. I think it's just a freak accident and royal fuk up on China's part that we're dealing with this worldwide crisis

It's killing a lot of people in third world countries like most of South America. A relative of mine is infected with the virus since she works at a hospital, and she's very ill right now. Also my uncle's girlfriend infected her dad with the disease, and he died, and everyone in her family is infected with it. Plus bodies are just piling up on the streets in there and other countries like Ecuador.

I live in one of the areas of the UK with the highest amount of cases and deaths, according to the media - I do not know a single person who has had corona and no one that I know knows anyone else with it.

Corona is a hoax. Sure there is a Corona virus, but there is no way it is worth all of this. The media has just tricked idiots into thinking it's not safe to visit their friends or family but it is save to enter a supermarket that thousands of people walk through and touch items everyday becsuse they do it at a distance of 2 meters... Nonsense.

Busses, trains and tubes have continued to run through out this whole 'pandemic', confined spaces with no possible way to implement social distancing, but that's fine because...?

Now the government are over it and pushing for everyone to get back to work under new rules because furlough payments are too expensive

Someone I know lost their brother to it in Mexico. They got it from their wife who also succumbed to it. They were only in their 40's.

Is it a hoax? Probably not

Do I believe it's overblown? Yes

Think it mostly effects people who have poor health, obese, smoke, etc. Also the elderly. Guess who's running the government? The old and rich...

In the UK it is mainly affecting the very elderly. There have been a total of 28,734 deaths as of yesterday.

The statistical data (age, region, etc) for 27,330 of those deaths is available on the govt website. Out of the 27,330 the ages ranges are as follows:

0-49 age: 615 deaths
50-59 age: 1,420 deaths
60-69 age: 3,025 deaths
70-79 age: 6,622 deaths
80-89 age: 10,531 deaths
90+ age: 5,117 deaths

It’s not really about whether something is safe/unsafe but a question of essential vs non essential. Going to see your friends or having a party isn’t essential but getting food from the supermarket is and so is getting on a train to work in some cases, whether one is more dangerous than the other is irrelevant

So are garden centres and B and Q essential? Because they are open, which means more people travelling to work and more people out and about and in contact with each other, all to buy some essential planks of wood or daffodil plants. Is the pizza shop esentiall? Because they haven't closed at any point during the whole process.

I would view someone's mental health and happiness as more essential than chips.

Cmon man if everyone was socialising the spread would be going crazy rn. And yeah food is essential and no restuarants are allowing eat in atm, whether it’s pizza or vegetable or fish and chips is irrelevant. Everyone locked in their houses so having a garden center open makes perfect sense since it allows people to buy **** for their gardens they could need or just things to do like gardening that pass the boredom for them. I’d actually be in favor of opening up some more shops pretty soon, but things like just allowing everyone to socialize as much as they please is a way off yet

Lol at CNN still trying to impose fear taking about the price of reopening

First off it’s been 4 days. Of course models will show higher totals. And there probably will be higher totals to some extent. But here’s the actual deaths lately

"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

It is a hoax. So many examples of doctors linking sicknesses or deaths to covid 19 when they simply are not the case. A lot of fear mongering in the media along with the bull**** ways they diagnose people leads me to believe the number are GREATLY inflated. In other words, it ain't even that serious, It's Fake News.

You know it's contagious right? That's why it's in clusters? It's not surprising that someone who had it would know other people who had it
