Investment vehicles are always wise, especially multiple. However some are not a form to build wealth but to preserve, but we all know this. I hope.
why would anyone make an investment to preserve strong LOL

Because money isn't infinite. Do you stock all your cash under your mattress? But who was inflation. Investment doesn't just mean being a slumlord or starting a new business. LOL

Preserve with rather low risk vehicles are out there. So yes, preserve to beat at least inflation. I'd you don't understand that then that very could be one of the reasons you went bust.

Nah, you don’t need to “work”. But you do need to be passionate about something. And have money. Travel is my personal passion, so that’s why that would work for me.

Money doesn’t just disappear once you earn it. You can travel for a long time with $250k in the bank... maybe even decades if you’re frugal.

It can though. I went out for some exercises today. Hit up a nice place to eat after, did a full shop without worrying about if I could save $1 for different brand. Filled up my car, bills all paid extra early, planning to do a workout then later do something with friends and most likely treat/shout them.

Money buys freedom and opportunities, it also buys a higher % of being healthy physically and emotionally by alleviating stress. It also helps make any possible partnership easier, removes hardships and give you a proper way to raise a family with full opportunities.

But yes, there is a balance. You can go too far and just end up being an unhealthy old rich c*nt who no-one cares about anyway. Make enough and enjoy your productive years.

Does More Money Equal More Happiness?NO!

However the lack of money certainly makes you unhappy.

Never rich but have managed to live happily until the last year when I experienced being unemployed for 10 months. The unhappiest time in my whole life. Although I got a generous amount of severance pay and unemployment check every month, the sense of insecurity alone could have killed my spirits.

Fortunately the current job I took six months ago is WFH possible while both my previous job (which I quit after 35 years of employment) and the other job I decided not to take were both not WFH possible.

Money isn't everything but I will never say again that money won't make me happy.

I'll be content with making the money/happiness threshold amount, which is around £50,000. After this amount, the effect on your happiness is minimal.

Happiness comes from the inside so nothing can make you happy.

A happy person could find one dollar on the street and that could make his day

A negative person could find one dollar on the street and ask why it couldn't be more

I want money exclusively to have control over my time. Chasing that sweet sweet financial independence.

I don't give a sht about the hedonic treadmill, got over that trap long ago.

The quicker people learn this the better. As long you've got a roof over your head, food on the table and a good network of friends/family, that's all you need.

There‘s money and there‘s **** you money. Only the latter will make you happy. I‘ve never been happier in my entire life than I have been for the past 5 years, which is when I got FU money. I can do whatever, whenever I want. Pure bliss and total freedom. The only thing it won‘t buy you is love. Fortunally I found that long before.
