Start working at Mcdonalds or other chain restaurant at 17/18, small promotion after small promotion, from fries, to crew supervisor, to assistant GM by 21, GM by 24, district manager by 26/27. Could make a respectable living climbing the fast food ladder if you start early in your life.

the social stigma of working at mcdonalds does not cross the eternal chads mind as his metaphysical presence is a greater force of nature than a fast food franchise

This. My friend was an assistant manager at a McD's when he was 16, he had a ton of money saved up for university and afterwards.

You can make a better wage as a first period apprentice in the union. You need to set your sights out on long term, not short term goals.

He originally asked if he should get into lawn care or work at mcdonalds. We told this man how lucrative the lawn care business could be and the fact that you can get zero percent financing on equipment immediately.

Rodriguez and Gonzales come here with nothing and their first stop is home depot to get some lawn mowers/paint buckets and start making bank

This is fukkin hilarious

Misc respects a 34 yr old fast food worker more than tradies

Just waiting for the miscers to hate too because I’m an apprentice and it “doesn’t count”

How many journeyman electricians are 22 years old ?

Anyway opie you’re not too old to get into the trades.

Apply to your local ibew if it’s strong

Look at where2bro for current work picture and scale and ask on the ibew subreddit what your local union is like

Also check out the UA and Sheet Metal union as well but electrical should be your first choice

Can’t recommend the carpenters or roofers union depending on where you live

It's not 80s anymore, to be district manager in any developed country nowadays requires a Bachelor degree
