A lot of this doesn't add up, mainly the circumstances surrounding the incident itself and the assailant descriptions. 2 wearing all black, 2 in floral shirts? Lol wtf? Did the other two not get the memo in the Wisconsin fraternity group chat? To top it off those wounds look nothing like lighter fluid/burn wounds. How was it all confined to her cheek/neck area, and nothing on her eyebrows/hair which are the most likely places to get soaked in fluid and subsequently burn? The wounds themselves do not resemble fire/burn wounds either. It looks mire like she scraped her face up on the concrete or street. I dont wanna call it a hoax/plot/bubba wallace/jussie smollet incident until investigation results come in, but I have a strong hunch that there are many fabricated elements in this story.

I believe that people are capable of all kinds of hateful, chitty things. However, this looks like a fraud.

Google burns... and / or specifically lighter fluid burns.
Those things on her face look like abrasions not burns.

Her story seems fairly weak as well.

If it really did happen to her I hope the attackers go to jail.

Like today I was reading some stuff about a huge amount of women coming out and accusing internet "celebrities" of rape

I honestly believe that A LOT of young Black people truly can't understand the differences in White and Black culture. I'm talking about some of the fundamental differences like violence, the disparate prevalence between/ within our communicates, and how that violence is viewed.

Obviously, I'm painting with a broad brush and doesn't include everyone, but it's a reasonable, fair assessment --

Violence within Whites communities is greatly frowned upon, even among younger people. For the over-30 crowd, the viewpoint is typically that violence is only acceptable in defense of yourself, family, property. There are no White suburbian or rural gangs. Obviously, fights happen, but it's usually alcohol-related or a dispute over a woman. When White men (less so for women) are, unjustifiably, violent -- the community is ashamed of them and they're often shunned. Only among true degenerates do you get any 'cred' for being violent. Clearly, Whitey isn't perfect, but we don't martyr trash human beings. Trash people in our communities are treated like trash.

However, in a lot of young Black communities, violence is not only tolerated, it's celebrated. Violence is clout. Violence is normalized. For many, it's just a part of life. Most White kids make it out of High School without ever having been in a fist-fight, but that's FAR less common in many Black communities, and a near-impossibility in some urban areas.

Point being - we're a lot more skeptical of situations like this because it's outlier behavior. The exception rather than the rule.

Not to mention the fact that so many fake hate-crimes have been staged in the last few years.
